Hmmn...... A shouldered carbine doesn't extend out further than a handgun at full press and a modern 2 point sling makes stripping the carbine difficult. If someone grabs a hold of the barrel of your carbine step back sharply and the muzzle will point itself directly at your attacker.Hard to keep control of a long gun in a situation like that. This is where a pistol in a retention holster shines. It would be very hard to get that away form you and it is much better suited for close quarters combat. A long gun sticking out is way too easy to redirect or strip away.
Despite the fact the Zulu warriors were depicted respectfully.I remember zulu as a kid.
In a list of movies that hollywood would dare not make today I think this has to be #1.
Get wise, or perish.
Superior numbers can be overcome with superior tactics.
I don't think you'd full press a handgun with a crowd around you up close. One or more could easily stick that muzzle end of a long gun into the ground or up to the sky or any direction really.Hmmn...... So for all the tough guys, what exactly is your fantasy?
Why aren't you rolling out to established hot spots if you are so eager to engage in combat? GoPerfect, aren't you retired? What's stopping you from taking a road trip?
I understand the unease and anger. I don't get the posturing.

Going to say I'm pretty certain you know a lot more about tactics than I do.Get wise, or perish.

If I have a carbine, slung across my chest and you grab at the muzzle end and I back up the leverage I have will point that carbine right at you. The strength I have in my legs and my back will overcome the strength you have in your arms.I don't think you'd full press a handgun with a crowd around you up close. It sounds good.. not everything translates that well to real life though. Who knows. With a pistol I can at least get shots on target and re holster where it is locked in again and I can try to escape. You can also run a lot better that way than with a rifle strapped around you.If I have a carbine, slung across my chest and you grab at the muzzle end and I back up the leverage I have will point that carbine right at you. If you grab at my carbine towards the receiver the leverage I have with one hand on the grip and one hand out on the handguard will again allow me to simply pivot the carbine right at you. However, as I have stated already, one should avoid being that close to begin with. Nevertheless a 16" carbine can be very handy in close quarters if you apply a little technique.
Run away little starting. For such a tough guy that literally just said a few posts ago, "I will step up to protect all that I hold dear", you sure do back down easy.
All talk, no action. Typical Internet Rambo.
You shouldn't be holstering your gun at all until you are totally clear of all danger. It sounds good.. not everything translates that well to real life though. Who knows. Absolutely. They are desperate to find a white guy with an AR shooting a crowd of so called peaceful protesters.
These areas need to keep going to shit until I'm able to walk through my town and not see BLM signs littered everywhere. I do see them everywhere. More in the past week, in fact. Only when or if the general public starts to appreciate that BLM is a terror group can we then expect reasonable support behind the federal government stopping these "protests". Until then we will have to have more images of blm + marxists rioting and intimidating people eating dinner with their raise-the-hand bullying.
That is as it should be. However as we see, trouble can find you faster than you can react to these days.Going to say I'm pretty certain you know a lot more about tactics than I do.
I focus on being aware and avoiding a battle. Best way to always win a fight is to not have one. Yeah I realize trouble can fin you, I just am really cautious to make Sure that doesn't happen, but nothing is 100%. I can shoot ok and I'm willing to defend myself, but I'm not hyped and looking forward to shooting anyone if I ever had to. I can also legit say who knows how well I'd shoot under that pressure. There is a reason police etc. train.
Bunch of cowards and scared little people.
Yeah, thats part of the reason they were singled out. I noticed that they didnt go into the Outlaw biker bar and demand the same.

My problem is I have to go out and drive for a living, and these criminals have already manifested themselves in my neck of the woods.
Along my route no less.
I was born in Wisconsin, most northern Midwest states lean blue actually. Trump flipping Wisconsin was a big deal actually. This is a big republican city. Not the typical thing we’ve seen up to this point. Just goes to show you it can happen anywhere.
Things are getting sporty folks.I was cleaning my weapon in my garage yesterday and I heard a distant noise, I thought at first it was a football game. It was a BLM protest on Kenmore ave. about 1 mile or less from my house.
I have a feeling, the day you and I met for lunch, they would not have approached us either.
Silly guy, it can't be a football game, those are too dangerous. Theres a killer virus out there, don't ya know?I was cleaning my weapon in my garage yesterday and I heard a distant noise, I thought at first it was a football game. I'm truly saddened by this. Politicians and talking heads in the media have inflamed passions and pitted average Americans against each other. The democrats/leftists/antifa sympathizers have the blood on their hands as they refuse to denounce the rioting. I hope for the day when we can all stand together against the corrupt political class. They should be the ones in fear, not our friends and neighbors.
The case for owning more than one weapon. One GTG and the other being serviced.I was cleaning my weapon in my garage yesterday and I heard a distant noise, I thought at first it was a football game. It was a BLM protest on Kenmore ave. about 1 mile or less from my house.
Escalatory statement... So I'll ask, what was your purpose to provocation? Did you get what you wanted from this?
Well that's a nice Hollywood scenario right there for ya'... Force meets force! Only some dribble with the OK Corral mentality that in "any" confrontation, arms be used. It's all relative, but hypothetical scenarios (like this) are just BS.You want someone to run down your street and directly attack you or a family member, so that you can respond with gunfire?
Posturing like you post where you are provoking another member in a feeble attempt to illicit a prescribed response!?
Again, what's your purpose in doing so? Why this member? Why haven't you chastised all who've said the same?
That said, why aren't you there, handing out flowers and peace signs, hugging all you see so you can pacify the misunderstood demonstrators that are just being unfairly labeled as criminals and rioters!
I don't know you, don't care. I read and didn't like the undertones of your post. Questioning what's your malfunction?
Anyways...
I think anyone who encountered a person or persons attempting to harm or injure their family or themselves would respond appropriately. If deadly force is required, as unfortunate as it may be, let it happen and let the dust settle... I'll tell you what, it may be a bitch and pita to defend yourself in the aftermath legally, but I can tell you 100% most assuredly, in my county, there's not a fucking chance in hell you'd be convicted for taking out a rioter or mob attacking your family, etc., push in robbery, etc. So consider it free happy time for those rioters, and those who'll defend themselves as well. God will be the ultimate judge and karma the deliverer of retribution if required! Otherwise prizes are always available for those who feel the need one!
Have a nice day...
I respect this, and would expect nothing less.@Rap, I'm not looking to cause trouble. I just want to earn a living without getting beaten or killed.
I am a trucker and I am not going to allow myself to end up like Reginald Denny or any of the countless other drivers who have been hurt or killed in any of these riots.
