I'm not sure how it would play out here in NY .. but in NY i can buy a black powder pistol .. no if ands or buts .. as long as dont have the bullets for it .,. so what if i open carry it unloaded ??? or ccw ... i have BP and pryrodex but no lead for that pistol caliber .. ????

I think open carrying a paintball gun will get you tackled and a trip to the station in NY. In PA there is provision for unlicensed open carry but you read the occasional story of folks getting the cops called on em. I am less concerned with open carry than I am conceals carry.

I think looking into a national shall issue policy is very well worth looking into, but not at the expense of sinking the whole bill. If it would be a sticking point I honestly belive it would be a more likely proposition to insert as an ammendment later on. Not massively later, but later. Gotta trust our representatives on this, and that worries me.

With this bill, we'd be able to legally carry in all 50 States and Commonwealths just like the cops can even with a restricted permit that has no basis in the Penal Law.

The only place we wouldn't be able to legally carry is in NYC. That's a win, win no matter how you look at it.

This is a RECIPROCITY BILL and not a nullification of a particular states laws of AW's and restricted licenses.

Don't confuse what it is.

What you want is something totally different and has nothing to do with reciprocity.

Im the first to support Constitutional carry, and im not a fan of bgc's or asking permission to exercise my 2a rights. Weve been under attack for over 100 years, even Reagan gave us more gun control, and the past 8 years have been rough.

Natioal reciprocity would be a huge advancement of our rights, but that doesnt mean we stop there. We need to push for bill after bill, after bill. And remember, Trump is still only one cog in the machine. We need to get as many pro 2a laws passed as we can, stack the scotus, ensure we keep the house and senate majorities in 2 years, get him reelected in 4, etc... etc.. thats alot of work ahead of us, and the left will be relentless.

All or none in one shot is not going to work.

Honestly, I think Trump is all we have. The Republicans don't want what we want. They could have done things during the Bush eras but didn't.

If he is going to get this bill for us, we should support it and the one after. After he's gone, it's back to politics as usual.

They do not have the right. They *do* have the power. The feds can take away that power, and I'll take back as much as I can. I am not going to look at a bill like this and say "I'll pass because it doesn't do enough"....
