I usually get DeSantis for EDC but I recently started getting 1791 Holsters which have been great. They can be worn IWB or OWB.

I like Alien Gear.
I would avoid any kind of hybrid holster such as the Crossbreed, the all will lose retention as the leather side molds to the gun. I really like the Blackpoint Tactical Mini Wing IWB holster, very comfortable.
sorry @kev74 but I have to disagree. Just my opinion. I can make a full sized 1911 disappear under my shirt with a leather paddle holster.

I've stopped buying crossbreed (they fall apart after a year or so) and my alien gear stuff is crap, imo. Harry's Holsters let me me try a few for the P365 and G19 and I'm very pleased with them. His can be carried AIWB or IWB 3/4/5/6 o'clock as well. Email him and ask for a discount. He seems to be pretty good about that. I'm also going to try a T-Rex AIWB (side car style)

The number of holster makers is becoming mind boggling.
Everyone is shaped different, everyone has different needs and everyone feels different about comfort vs concealability vs practically.
My buddy who was new to carrying a pistol last year bought every holster I had because I loved them. We are the same size but he hates all but one. He likes the DeSantis OWB holster with retention strap for his S&W Governor......I use one for my GP100.
For my Shield I use either a DeSantis Mini Scabbard for OWB or Alien Gear 2.0, I love both. I prefer the 2.0 over the 3.0 backing......or, a Kydex "We The People" IWB which is quick, easy and comfortable.
Ive been using my AG 2.0 daily for 4 years with no issue, the retention is as good as day 1.
I have bought a couple custom made $150 leather OWB which are no better than my $46 DeSantis.
As all as I care about is hiding a gun on my body comfortably but still have a quick draw.
My advice is to read as many reviews as you can from owners of various holsters.

And while true, 99% of the Kydex holsters out there don't have a Dime's difference between them. I have $30 holsters and $200 holsters. They all work about the same.
Tried Alien Gear IWB, once. Nice fit, good concealment and comfortable - draw the weapon and the damn thing flattens under belt pressure, and it's a clusterfuck trying to re-holster. Went right back to Comp-Tac. Must be the way I was trained, re-holstering was always something you should be able to do, for whatever the reason.
I would recommend Horseshoe Leather Products in UK (Andy Arratoonian Holsters for Handguns, Firearms and Concealment at holsters.org), but he now has Parkinson's, he's 83 and the wait was always long. Made by hand one at a time. The best there is, IMHO. I've had 3 made by him, and they were superb.
I stick with Comp-Tac now, although I know some don't like the noise Kydex can make.
I can re-holster one handed and quick with my AG holster.

If you can draw and reholster from a very comfortable holster that stays put a retains 100% effectively......where is the issue.

Annnnd, I can post dozens and dozens and dozens of videos of Youtubers saying hybred holsters are great.
Again, everyone is different and what works for some doesnt work for everyone.

None of what he says is true of an AG 3.0 holster. They are not leather, they cover the trigger and they have a piece of metal between the layers so its ridged and you cannot get your finger behind it.

What part about old video dont you understand? You do realize fat can both be gained and........LOST. dude lost weight and 100% can guarantee he wont use a hybrid holster, why? Because they are a subpar option when kydex is available

Hybreds have improved over the last few years. Thats the point, its an old video.
I bought 3 kydex before I found one that didnt pull off my belt with the gun 50% of the time.
That video came out and the 3.0 was available, still a subpar option.
Dot the I loops? How is it the holsters fault if you had bad belt clips?
