NEWSFLASH: Pistol Permit Recertification

Out of curiosity, are the letters that have been received from Counties with expiration dates or non expiration (I've received nothing yet) or just a random mix? I'm not asking so someone can assume to know the answer, if yours expires and you got the letter or not expires and you got the letter just say so. I'm just curious as to to thought process of this system.

I'm not going to get in to the discussion on how or why to recertify. I just wanted to pass on some helpful information. I received my letter at the place of residence where I initial got my PP. I lucked out and this is my parents address so they just gave me the letter. I have changed my address twice since then, both times changing it with the county. So it appears that the new addresses haven't been forwarded to the state. My guess there's probably going to be a lot of people that wont receive renewal letter because of address changes.

There are many, many examples of this. Another easy one is: No response. Check thousands of death records, or perform a no knock warrant? Where did the guns of the dead guy go?

No response. Did the letter get there? Did it get back?

No response. Did they check their permit expiration date and see "none?"

Etc. Etc. Etc.

But the spineless can keep up with the "you'll be a lone wolf!" lie.

That'll surely help things.

as what other things they might look into . Like do they check prescription records. With some of the past cases of people having permits revoked over prescriptions kind of made me wonder why she got it that quick and I didn t.

Can I be part of the "Patriot club" too if I wait until the state informs the county that there was no response and the county sends me the final letter of revocation (you don't actually think that a non response to the state equals an "oh well" and the state will not notify the country to take action in revoking your permit or a dead man's permit do you?) or can I only be part of the club if I willfully go to the complete end and refuse to the point that I lose everything?

Which is it? Go to the complete end or respond after getting the letter of revocation from the county? I'm confused. Please tell me so that I can post what I'm going to do. I really want to be part of "The Club."

I will be very curios to see if you get a letter or if I was the anomaly. This could create a huge problem in general there are a lot of people who have moved but don't keep track of gun laws. This whole thing has the makings of a huge cluster fuck!

You don't think that the state will not notify the county of the non responders? It's common sense. Joe Blow died. The state notifies the county due to a lack of response. The county tries to notify him. He doesn't respond because he's dead so they cancel his permit.

I don't believe it's so much as being in "a patriot club of keyboard warriors" but more of that some of us don't trust the garbage they spew out within weeks then have no answers as the deadlines loom, then cram something together to appease the people and Counties that are begging for answers..all for something that to some people, has zero sense in attaining. Just by looking at all different posted ideas above even should make people slow down and think things through..you got counties that are free and care about their citizens and then you got counties that are shit and don't care and ready to sell their citizens out to a newspaper in a heartbeat, then you got people that have No expiration date and don't keep up on current events (if I wasn't on this forum I'd never know about this whole thing, and would be going about my day everyday with a 0000 expiration date, before these forums I never once cared about politics and law and MSM BS), then you got old people who don't have help or assistance and don't realize, then you got people that are in college or working elsewhere or abroad and aren't at the mailing residence that the form gets chosen to be mailed,then you got off grid people,then you got stubborn Clerks and Judges..I mean really, how many examples are needed to be provided to prove this is a non working idea?? As far as logical courses of action, it's either county notification or revocation on the spot after no response.

One or the other. I tend to lean on county notification but you never know.

Don't forget that the chances are getting higher and higher as this "Republican Spring" wave keeps rolling through the Country, that Cuomo will be gone and Trump may very well have enacted some kind of better National permit process..

I have a CDL and often the Medical certificate that is updated every 2 years .If it expires one will lose their CDL . I send it in a month ahead of time by registered mail and it still gets revoked as the state has a "backlog" in processing . Perhaps the county workers preformed their duty and sent it in and the updated address form sits in a dust bin of papers that are 10 years old ..Just waiting for a state worker to finally start working. .. Someday start working .....

It's not making stuff up. It's logical courses of action due to the facts at hand. One can only come up with a few end results.

But hey. It's cool to ignore that and say someone made it up.

Im pretty sure that you can logically deduce that either the state will ignore your non-compliance, the state will revoke your license on the spot, or the state will inform your county that you haven't responded and will require them to take action.

And hey.... Many of us have non-complied for other things as well that they cannot possibly know about too. Should we boast about it?

Look at me. I carry in NYC, State Parks, Schools, and Post Offices. I have 17 Rd Glock magazines. I'm 5/5 too.
