A bill like that becomes law, evening owning a few guns will cost someone thousands per year. Those of us that have PPs will have no choice as they know what we have. After Sept. 13 they will know what long rifles someone has as well. Gun registries are so convenient!

I haven't read but if what you say in true then maybe it goes to the 10th circuit for a decision. Close court as far as appointments with conservative appointment having a slight edge. But we know that means nothing. Anyway, should that court strike down the EO and the 2nd circuit upholds Hochel, then its back to SCOTUS in rapid fashion.

In the strictest sense of a Right being an absolute that cannot be taken away, we all only have two, the right to conception (not even birth) and to death - everything in between is negotiable and subject to circumstance. How fiercely it is all negotiated, enforced and protected will determine what we may consider our "gained" or kept rights.

It is only when men fully understand that this is how many in .gov (especially progressives) view their Rights that they will accept that they have to fight instead of begging for benevolence at the feet of a supposed master class.

Gov has reneged on its charter with the people because the people have taken for granted that since .gov derives its power through the consent of the governed, our rights are granted by ourselves; not G-d nor the mercy of that master class, and we the people have failed to be educated, involved and fight as necessary to keep them secure. Unfortunately, too many do not even do the bare minimum of voting, and soon it will be too late for even that.

Although the Declaration of Independence mentions G-d and a Creator, the Constitution does not acknowledge such. The DoI was a statement to the king of a country that was far more intertwined with the Church than this country has ever been and mention of G-d was likely meant to influence, but the DoI is not a true instrument of governance as the Constitution and BoR are. When it came time to create those instruments, they neglected to mention the notion of divine rights. And now today, just how many sit back waiting for G-d to do their dirty work? or Trump? or aliens? Anything but themselves. Hope was the last great evil released from Pandora's Box.

This issue is not about public health any more than lock-downs were or abortion (mostly) is. COVID opened the door to these further abuses and the right to choose seeks to extend a "right" that .gov can later subsume. When a .gov attempts to push a right upon you, it is not really a right.

As much as we may piss & moan about BLM and Antifa, they are the ones making inroads, although maybe by design. I'm not certain that it would work as well for the right-mnded, but I bet we'll get a good first hand look at all the cool new tech .gov has.
