I just hope the weather is passable on my range day. Better bust out the thermal undies!once i get the nygf build done I'll get out there. wouldn't mind it getting a little colder either first. we just got below freezing down here this week.

Sorry I will correct it.Thanks.
Just for info, the opening post in this thread shows me with 80 points.
Good luck! We will be shootin our tragets at about the same time then. Think I'll be back round Monday, go shootin' on Tuesday.Haven't done a challenge yet, but I got farther this time. Actually printed out the turkey targets. Here's to hoping I can do some shooting over Thanksgiving break.

We should link up this spring/summer. Wanna do an Appleseed shoot or something? Maybe @GOYABEAN would like to come too? And there is another couple of us too, never can remember who they are and I apologize for that.'About' is the key word. I don't think we've ever both been in state at the same time, lol. For supposed PA residents, neither of us spends a hell of a lot of time there. We'll get there Wednesday and leave early Sunday.
Nice shooting.Wanted the be sure I got in this month. My 2 targets so far are a PCC with a score of 65 and a 94X for the Podmonkey Challenge using a full size SR1 target.

Finally got my printer working! Why do I need color ink when I'm printing in B/W? Will make copies at work tomorrow for the long weekend coming up.
Ha haha. That is why i use laser printers now.
Welp. No shooting for me. Starter in the Grand Cherokee died, which means we're not going out to PA because that's the only car that holds the kids, dogs, band instruments and other crap we drag with us. The only gun I have in NJ is the 1911, and I don't belong to any ranges here. Hubby is perfectly capable of replacing the starter, but all our tools are in PA. Grrr. I guess he'll take the Wrangler out on Friday, pick up his tools and jacks, then come back to NJ.
While he’s capable of doing the job, time is money. Calculating time for the trip out and back to pick up tools, gas etc may be worth just having it replaced locally.
Somehow I only shot 9 shots at the PCC target. (need to get better at counting bullets when putting them in the magazines I guess). ]
It could be that but, if you have to make an excuse why not go with one that is plausible. Another thing that sucked that day was my ability to see. After each shot I peeked at the target with my spotting scope and I failed to notice there were only 9holes in it because I was double counting one of the 9s as an 8.So is this the new official “i suck so bad i missed the 8.5x11 paper target altogether” montra?
That is a lot of ammo, you must be counting on a Turkey uprising.View attachment 21413 View attachment 21414 View attachment 21415 View attachment 21416 View attachment 21417
This, my friends, is a good old fashion Podmonkey range day in the making. Headed out first thing tomorrow. Weather is sunny and mild.
Go big or go home: 1,000 rounds 223, 500 9mm + 100 rounds of left over Winchester white box 9mm. I printed off 60 turkey targets and I have 50+ of the SR1 targets. That is a lot of ammo, you must be counting on a Turkey uprising.
I usually only go through 150-500 rounds a range day (depending on what I bring). Spending 6-8 hours at a time on the range is great therapy.Go big or go home: 1,000 rounds 223, 500 9mm + 100 rounds of left over Winchester white box 9mm. My range days are just that, all day.
If I were home for more than 3-5 days a month I'd pace myself more. I'd do pistols one trip, long guns another. I'd prefer that actually. As it is I have very limited opportunity to shoot and I really, really, really like shooting so I take all day. In fact, sending rounds down range is my second favorite thing to do of all.I usually only go through 150-500 rounds a range day (depending on what I bring).
