I only hunt, ride and shoot with folks I know better than I know myself.
More than two people is a crowd for me.
Thanks for the offer but I will pass.
Vote "No" please.I’m the same way. Can’t trust everyone, sorry. Nothing personal.
I've always thought it was the hamlet of Oneida Castle,, once considered for the State Capitol..The geographic center of New York is located in Madison County, 12 miles S of Oneida and 26 miles SW of Utica.

do we get to ride Paul Tuttle's choppers too ?@kev74 said he would set something up in Orange County for the people in that area.
Noted. If this happens, it will require a lot of planning and coordination and likely wouldn't happen until spring time next year at the earliest.keep 3 things in mind, because they will happen very soon..
#1 - deer season opens in the Southern tier..
#2 - It's going to snow, a lot of fucking snow for those east of Ontario & Erie lakes..
#3- cold , freezer fuckin cold for the next 6 months
I'm not a member here and for no good reason I have yet to shoot here, but I have bought guns and ammo here. mostly geared towards shotgun, but Its one hell of facility that could handle a large turnout.. check out their website. The geographic center of New York is located in Madison County, 12 miles S of Oneida and 26 miles SW of Utica.

Thank you. I understand your position on the whole thing. I just want everyone who cares, to vote how they feel in the poll.I just did, but I’ll keep watching to see who’s coming.

All valid concerns guys. For me is very personal, my person. It comes down to personal safety and personal enjoyment. I had people pointing at me with a gun "By accident", just a causal turn around ooops sorry forgot to ... WTF! I bet they never before heard anyone screaming at them like that. LOL
I firmly belie in the 2nd amendment, I am just not sure if everyone is competent enough to own and handle a gun, specially around other people,
innocent animals or valuable assets.
To be clear, always met smart, responsible and wonderful folks all over including forums but, I am not taking chances.
20 years ago I joined a motorcycle club and lasted not even one season.
There were some great guys but there are so many "personalities" and "politics" involved that it was not worth the trade-off.
I think tribalism, entitlement and PC have replaced common sense, humility, collaboration, good mojo, learn from the experienced and all that.
Perhaps is this social media and PC BS that is destroying our world. Even the online experience has changed.
...enough talking. If someone doesn't like it, well, I have news, nobody cares, grow up, deal with it.
We should also have a few RSO's at the event helping to coordinate and enforce the regular NRA safety rules.Seriously. By forum range event, I am not talking about a bunch of us gathering in a field somewhere doing mag dumps into the air while shit faced and cursing Cuomo. I am talking about an organized event which would A: have an intended theme/purpose and B: observe proper safety rules.

One thing I would want to insist upon should an event happen, would be a set standard of range safety rules. With the Appleseed events I've been to, one of the rules is you leave guns in your car until you are given the order to get them. Everyone sets up their gear (minus guns) on the line first and then basic safety rules are covered. When you do get your guns, you are bringing them to the firing line in a case. Once taken out of the case, they are placed on your mat, muzzle pointed down range and you aren't allowed to touch them until given the order to prep and then load. Like I said, before people are even allowed to bring their guns from their cars to the firing line, we all go over basic safety rules. This of course would be on top of any rules whichever range we have this at, would likely enforce.
Part of getting this thing organized would also be establishing if anyone involved were range officers. My point being that I am not trying to organize a free for all retard fest and would want to establish safety protocol to help ensure that. Just putting that out there.
Most people I know are regulars anal sbout safety but I have done that, yes. Even in ranges with mandstory training and quite some control, after I have seen how some of the new people operate I pack and leave. I have been lucky to have access to private property that is a pleasure and safe.So if someone you don't know shows up at the range you pack you stuff and leave?

This is a great idea. Has this forum ever mapped where everyone lives? That could help with deciding what part of the state would be within range of the majority of members
Forgive me, I am not familiar with gssf. What is it?How about a meet and greet at one of the gssf ny events? No planning, no set up..just meet up and shoot
Glock sports shooting foundation. My wife and I have been shooting it 2 years now. It’s a good time. We both won pistol certificates this year and 2 year memberships.Forgive me, I am not familiar with gssf. What is it?
