Got it today. 5 weeks and 1 day. Signed by the judge on March 1.

Drop mine off Feb.14 & still waiting. Walkill River Small Arms has a nice selection of pistols. They matched price SR9c from Sportsman's Guide paid $434. It was $395 +35 FFL so it was cheaper too buy from Walkill River Arms very nice people

Honestly, I got there a little late but it was more or less a how-to on filling out the online forms. At the end the troopers took some questions including the old 7 or 10 round deal. They said the NYSP is sticking to the 10 round limit and the sheriff chimed in that they are doing the same and also mentioned they have not charged anyone under the SAFE Act except those who were charged in the commission of an actual crime. Someone also asked the troopers about why NY has this nonsense with putting each individual pistol on the permit while other states do not and they simply quoted the law number that dictates it and said that'd have to change in order for things to change.
That is worse than when we were in the middle of the Hitlary scare. Truly unacceptable and we need to start a campaign to petition Clerk Rabbitt to change the way they do it to how some other counties do. There's no reason for the judge to have to sign off on every amendment.
My check was mailed in on the 3rd of March and cashed on the 9th. They always seem to be right on top of collecting the money. The end result of this whole recertification nonsense is going to be a fee to recertify because of all the manpower its taking to get it done. Mark my words that's coming up.

4 weeks today, still waiting for an amendment.
Annie Rabbit's husband died Feb 26th. I don't know if that contributed to even slower service in Orange County. I imagine she's been taking a lot of personal time. She was married for a long time.

I put one in yesterday. The wait begins again.
I am disgusted with the whole process in Orange. First, the guard almost didn't let me go up to the second floor because "the computers are down." Funny though, they were able to print me a receipt for the amendment fee though.
Then they couldn't print me a new card with my current address (which I paid for with my last amendment) because the card printer was broken. Miraculously, they were able to print out a veteran discount card for the guy behind me on the "broken" printer.
I also had the pleasure of getting crap from the woman in the pistol permit office for not bringing a self addressed stamped envelope. There is no other county department that makes you bring an envelope for them to send you stuff you're paying for.
Screw them all! I can't wait until the next time I see one of our asshole county politicians patting themselves on the back over how pro-gun they are.

The waiting game starts again for me. Mailed out an amendment last week.

Amendment showed up Friday. Hoping to run up there tonight or tomorrow. I believe the judge signed it in late March (maybe the 25th). The rest of the time it was at the clerk's office.
