I have no problem with anyone owning guns. I have a problem how your group operates as a people. I’ve been exposed to your people in Inwood when I worked at the Hospital there and here in Orange County.
When you see EBT cards and expensive Jewelry everywhere something is not right. When you hold the door for someone and they just walk in without saying thank you, something is not right. I can go on.

That and the stealing of my taxpayer money for welfare. When I was a hospital cop, I used to voucher their property. EBT cards, Medicaid, and expensive clothes and jewelry. Almost all the women produced that Medicaid card
They go around here in Orange County pestering people to sell their homes so that they can take over neighborhoods. They look down on other Jews that aren’t in their sect. My wife was a pharmacy manager. They used to see her Star of David charm and scowl. Give her an attitude. Refuse to talk to her sometimes when they needed help. They do not want to deal with women. If you drive through their town, they will follow you.
I can go on. Obviously not all are like that but the majority are.
I for one am enjoying the turn in this conversation. Where I live, we do not seem to have many of the same issues as NYer's to the south of me.

Then we do not have a problem then. I actually like Jewish people. I sleep next to one every night. Whenever I see the bashing of Israel, I always stick up for that country.
But with Hassidics, that’s an entirely different story.

Okay:
• so, I have a headache (probably because I went to bed late and got up a few hours later to start my day)
• have a wife who’s upset at me (because I was posting here)
• it didn’t help that I couldn’t give a reasonable response when she inquired as to who I could possibly be communicating with at 1:00. I muttered something about addressing an issue of needed clarification. (Telling her that I was trying to clarify communal issues in Rockland/Orange with a bunch of gun owners on the internet probably wouldn’t suffice.)
• Will, when I’m in Monroe on Thursday, could you stand outside the entrance to the ramp of exit 16, holding a sign that says “my fault”, so I could point at you and tell my wife: “it’s that guys fault”?
• One thing I learned is that the internet is the place one goes in order to have rational dialogue with a productive intent! (Yeaaah Internet!!!!)

• Thread was started in reaction to a picture of some Orthodox Jews in Monsey providing security detail for an event at their synagogue (within a relatively short timeframe after an individual decided it would be a good idea to attack a bunch of Orthodox Jews with a machete)
• This was done on private property with firearms that were constructed in a manner as to establish an attempt at compliance with the very vague SAFE Act.

No shot I engage in a long conversation with someone who has clearly been cataloging this forum for his own purposes for a long time.
I will say this though: after extensive research, much of it first hand through people who have lived in the area for decades, I decided it was not going to be a smart move for my family to relocate to the Orange/Rockland areas within commuting distance of the city due to changes being experienced due to the impact of this specific community on the local economy.
Day to day, face to face, in mixed areas, I have never had a negative encounter with these same people and have never looked down on Jews (which half my family has become over the years) but the specific impacts these particular communities are having on those areas are issues I have determined to be negatives for my own family.
At this point, there is nothing that will change my mind.

I have re-framed from using the word or description of "Gangs". Simply it was just kids picking on other kids. Religion may have only held a very small part in this.
Returning to Rockland in the late 80's, I found the political climate much to my dis like. Largely Democratic, liberal, and abused. I encountered first hand, corruption with in many branches of Civil Service jobs. It seemed to be a who knows who operation, favoring those who could return benefits of one kind or another. (Not uncommon in most of the work environment.)
Yes, I know the history of the Irish and Italian. The friction between them as well as the Catholic-Protestant resentments. Yes, there was/is corruption, criminal activity related to these people.

When Sheriff Kralick appointed a "Special Deputy" to the Jewish community, it wasn't handled very well. It should have been seen as a helping tool. A way to shape and form a better line of communications between the general public and the Jewish. Instead it became a political weapon, a why them and not us argument. There are certain customs and beliefs that needed clarification, understanding and acceptance. This "Special Deputy" was to be a liaison to help accomplish this.
Sadly it did not seem to work that way.
Does the Jewish community who came under attack have a right to defend themselves? Yes, not only the right but an obligation to do so. Do they have a right to demonstrate a show of force? Yes, a community collectively joined. Are they exercising their second amendment rights? Seem to be.
Will others see this as a starting point for the gun rights of others? That has been left to be seen.
