And this right there is another problem I have. 9 uncles and over 100 cousins. No birth control at all is practiced. Just keep having kids, kids, and more kids. And because the women who have these huge amounts of kids are considered single moms since they aren’t married in the eyes of the state because their marriage ceremony was never licensed by the state, they all qualify for welfare and medicaid.

This is why the surrounding communities keep getting pestered to sell their homes.

Every other surrounding community no matter what the religion or ethnic makeup or nationality of that community isn’t reproducing at such an alarming rate. The residents of Kiryas Joel have outgrown their town. Instead on living in regular homes of one or two stories like everyone else, they live in homes that have 4 to 6 stories.

There is a small little hamlet, tiny town, or whatever it is called off of route 208 that has been overtaken by the Hascidics. They didn’t just buy one home. Somehow they managed to buy the whole hamlet. I found out about it after a road closure.

Why can’t they move and spread out into any house in any location and live among everyone else rather than taking over whole towns?

These people do not know how to live with everyone else. They refuse to maintain their religion while conforming with everyone else.

That is why often times they are associated with a plague.

I'll simply say that half of what I know ( almost nothing ) about Jewish culture came from a movie called The Jazz Singer.. Its based on Neill Diamonds life and struggle between his Jewish culture while becoming a American star through music..

Many religions favor having large families not just the Jewish. Irish Catholics are know to have large families for intense, as per the teachings of the church.
These women are married, maybe not licensed by the state, but married in the eyes of their religion. (Why does one need a licence to be married, is there no other reason other than for a tax? While infringing on one's right to Life, Liberty and the Per-suite of Happiness?)
Do they apply for social benefits more so than any other ethnic group? I don't know the answer first hand, but I've seen more "immigrants" collecting these bennies than another group of people.
Do the Jewish buy a large amount of homes surrounding a preexisting area of there own? Seems to be the case. But could you or others not do the same? What's the difference of a developer buying a large area of what was once farm lands, and putting up Condo's or Town Houses?
There is no need for the Jewish to spread out and to assimilate into the non-Jewish areas. They live among their own, just like many other groups of people. (Black, White, Hispanic, people from other countries do the same and then to sick with one another.)
Bloomingburg had been slowly decaying and reaching for a slow death for years. Never looked that any help or aid was on it's way. So a developer bought it up, is going to put up housing, isn't this a better solution to boarded up homes and businesses? Many businesses have moved into the village. Yes, most cater to the Jewish Clientele. (You don't go to a farm stand to buy meat. As one old timer use to tell me. I understand the inference.)
Collectively there is a need to work with others for the benefit of all, ie in this case our Second Amendment rights.

My reasoning is that I feel this discussion is detracting from the potential of where this thread can go.

While some of your points are certainly valid, others are in my opinion misguided and come from a place of ignorance (meaning lack of knowledge).

The latter part of what I just said is specifically related to your comments about averages as it relates to Orthodox Jewish family size & why we limit our interactions with the host society around us to a point

I believe that if we have that discussion, you’ll have a much better understanding & your current perspective will experience a shift.

Regarding the valid criticisms as it relates to how certain communities exploit inefficient/bureaucratic government programs, I believe that my previous posts already acknowledged the validity of your criticisms (I think that horse is very dead after being beaten so bad).

All of us are limited regarding time and I cannot make the same mistakes I made yesterday (happy wife, happy life).

Once with my family, I cannot be busy with my phone, responding to this exchange, and now I’m busy with my work day.

I would like to reorient this thread to a discussion of what proactive measures might be taken with regards to our gun rights.

I would like to add that I live in Rockland, probably 1.5 miles from the attack, took my NRA reloading class from an obsevant person not far from my home. We get along very well with our neighbors, still can't wait to get out of NY, and hope that wherever we end up can find similar friends. We all know there are some disrupters in every group of people, and when they appear to others to be " in uniform" the whole group gets stigmatized. As firearm enthusiasts WE need to hang together ....or hang separately

• Yes, this is exactly the main point I wanted to drive home. Whatever issues we might disagree on regarding other aspects of life, when it comes to firearms, as firearms owners, we need to unite as a “solid block”, become very aggressively pro active on a local level, in order to fight these horrific infringements!

• In other words we need to be “one issue” voters! Defense of life is one of the most basic elements of existence! (For elaboration on this topic, kindly take a walk in the woods and observe the animal life).

• Other topics related to our existence are dependent on our existing! In other words the other Amendments are dependent on the 2nd! Or to be blunt: the other interests in your life are dependent on you being alive!

• The above point is something most people in the world would agree on! The problem is how individuals and institutions with a certain agenda (statists, people who wish to harm others, criminal elements, etc) present deliberately misleading information, in order to perpetuate a false narrative, for their own unethical (in my opinion) motives.

• Firearms, as small arms (weapons systems), are currently (based on technological development in 2020) some of the most practical/effective tools for defensive of life, liberty & property!

• Politicians, for the most part, don’t care about you or your rights! They are politicians, and want power! That’s why they go into politics! If they really cared about you and were these selfless individuals, they would volunteer to come to your house and help you with whatever!

• The revolution to “take back the Republic” is not happening tomorrow! To wage such an effort, you need:

- The support base
- Financial base
- Trained/equipped manpower
- Logistical solutions in place
- Supply chain
- Leadership
- Defined goals
- Established rules of engagement
- Have the ethical fortitude to engage in all the unpleasant things that a civil conflict entails

• For elaboration on the above, speak to any combat vet who served in any military force, fighting an insurgency (or speak to former insurgents themselves).

• The Point of the above is that the “Come & Take it” thing is a myth/fantasy that needs to die!

• Eventually, they will just ban firearms (your property), and if you are caught with your property (which is now illegal by state fiat), you will be a felon, and the people around you will think: “such a shame, he was a nice guy”. And you will be socially/financially &@$?:!

• If we actually want to proactively challenge these infringements, we need to take lessons from what some of this thread touched on:

• we need to organize as a powerful block and get very involved in the local political scene and be a show of political force.

We need to send the message to the local politicians that it’s not politically expedient for them to mess with our gun rights and that if they really want the political power they seek, they better change things fast!

Example:

• Local political event about gun policy with some politicians.

• 20 Moms Demand Action soccer moms show up with their stupid T Shirts and signs.

• 500 relatively local gun owners show up in force and say: Look at the cross spectrum of people we embody. Not just some “upstate red necks”. People from all different communities. 500 votes are in this room and another 1,000 votes are outside and around. Don’t mess with the 2nd Amendment. Change these policies fast or we’ll vote someone in power who will!

• There’s other measures that can be taken, that can be very, very effective! I have spoken about this to Gun Rights Activists in other states, and they told me what has been done that has a proven track record on a local level!

• I will go more into this later. Suffice to say: the more people we have from different communities the better! The more people involved the better!

For instance: having a “shyster, evil, scum of the earth, locust” Orthodox Jew like myself on board, could be something beneficial for everyone!

Let’s selfishly (at least) put identity politics aside, and cooperate as collective gun owners, and actually address the reality on the ground on a local level!

Others on this thread have noted that my posts have been both articulate & insightful. I was trying to shift a conversation about a specific community to gun rights. Why is that bad? This particular thread has turned into a soup sandwich. The original point was about a group of people using noncompliant rifles for defense of personal property which later was revealed to be compliant rifles.

Afterwards it somehow turned into a thread about religion and other topics that are unrelated to the original post.

Perhaps if you want to talk about one particular topic, a new thread should be created because a new reader will leave this thread after the 3rd page due to this thread going in multiple directions. As it is now, the topics are about compliance, orthodox not being hasidics, the legalities of an other firearm, how one group of people doesn’t conform to society and want to integrate into it while maintaining their beliefs, real estate, and many more topics.
