I have no idea about this kid.
You can't trust what he has to say without confirmation, but I don't trust the "official" narrative either (which seems to be changing hourly).
For all I know he is the Paul Revere of our time and all the DV stuff is a fabrication. How can I know ?
I do know this though, even if he is as flawed as they are portraying him now, hundreds of people showing up and reminding the government that it won't go unchecked is a good thing.

That article states that the domestic violence happened when the shot was heard in the residence. That’s not what the police said however. A cell jammer is easily bought, or made. Get caught using one and you are in serious trouble nowadays.
The only facts of disruption I have seen 8n this case is people overwhelming the 911 system with calls.
I'm keeping quiet on this guy, I don't know the facts, but a positive is police will now be cautious about attempting any type of red flag confiscation, as apparently it will have some negative results for them.
But this wasn’t a red flag and is more indicative of what I have been saying for a long time: the police have to protect themselves mostly from made up nonsense.
I understand that, doesn't change the fact that any red flags will now be dealt with cautiously.

I just heard from a very reputable inside source that the suspect is not in police custody yet, is having a shootout with the police currently, and has not only one 30 round magazine, but there are reports of two 50 round drum magazines somewhere in his house too. There are also rumors floating around that he suffers from chronic diarrhea and possibly that he may just be lactose intolerant.
That's what I gathered, from previous dv incident maybe. That doesn't mean there weren't any at the wife's house though.

I will say this and then bow out of this thread unless another development ensues. Let’s stick to the facts. He wasn’t incarcerated. That should be the end of it. Yet some here say that they need further facts. Facts for what? For legitimizing his guns taken away? There is no legitimate reason for that to ever happen unless one is incarcerated.
Put that in your pipes and smoke it. Only those incarcerated should have their guns taken away. It’s really that simple. Anything else and you support infringements. If you support guns taken away from domestic abusers that weren’t charged and locked up, you support red flag laws. They are one in the same. A pig with lipstick is still a pig.

The Putnam Police are holding a press conference at 1:00 PM today, 11/25/2019. I'm sure they will spin this in such a way to make the guy look like a mental case dangerous criminal and we will never know what really transpired. Oh, and Epstein didn't kill himself.

This story/situation blew up so fast that I was hesitant to comment until facts came out. As it stands today Im still not sure about the facts leading up to this, what the real story is, and who to believe. It seems as though this didn't start as/wasn't a red flag confiscation, but the response it garnered from the 2A community across the country, under the assumption that is was, was staggering! Callers jamming the 911 system, I read somewhere the police chief was DOXed, people showing up on scene, Town Police FB being flooded, the contributions to Go Fund Me and legal funds (whether warranted or not) really shows that spirit of liberty still lives in some form. This might make the rank and file police officers think more about what orders they're willing to carry out.
Definitely makes me less likely to risk my ass for legitimate domestic violence victims now that I know “patriots” will be attacking us as we work them. That’s what I learned here.

Im sorry you feel that way and I can understand your frustration, however maybe your frustration should be with the lawmakers of this state who take and take and take. In my lifetime all its ever been is higher taxes and less personal freedom, especially when it comes to the second amendment. It seems like the reaction by the 2A crowd in this instance was premature but none the less some people are sick of being treated as a cash cow whos voice doesn't matter. Politicians make shitty policy and look to the police to enforce it. When you have unfavorable laws, laws that have less then 20% compliance, dont be surprised by backlash from the subjects when those laws are enforced.
I find myself doing less and less no matter the job.
People suck. Period. They have zero clue what goes on in the world around them.
My level of caring is at a low that can never be regained.
