That’s not the narrative given by the police in both their own statements and to news reporters. The blue falcon which was the original tip that the police admitted to and the veteran admitted to isn’t even involved in this new statement.
If they would have pushed that statement that they are saying now from the beginning, no one would have showed up. There would be no go fund me page and his Instagram would have been ignored.
What happened was that they got too much backlash and changed the narrative. There was absolutely no reason to not push this new narrative in the beginning if it were true.

I love how the police chief diagnosed the man as mentally ill with PTSD. I guess police officers are certified psychiatrists now.
Well this is significantly different from first reports.
I'm starting to wonder if whoever started the GoFundMe on his behalf shut it down because the circumstances leading to the standoff might not be as it seems and was originally presented. They probably are making sure they don't deceive people on a donation to support a cause that might not be what they think
I'm more confused than ever about this situation.

At this point I'm afraid we'll never know the truth unless we were personally involved ourselves.
All sides will spin. Him, the wife, friends and family. The police, social media. Regular media will spin this as well. Anti 2A groups will toss their spin and the Pro groups will spin.
The spin on this will make us all dizzy.
The revolution didn’t start over some random dudes with questionable mental stability. It was building up for years, enjoyed healthy support and was based on numerous grievances, largely due to enlightened philosophical explanations of man’s condition which ran counter to monarchistic systems.
We look like laughable fools comparing some drunk dude with mental issues to the most serious thinkers and doers of that day, age and place.
Imagine how different our country would be if schools taught personal finances, physical fitness, trades, and Occam’s Razor.

Reports are sketchy, anywhere from 20-90. Some were arrested at the cemetery.
It's good to see that people did show up but if the last report is true, he just pissed off a lot of the 2A community.

Kind of like today? You know, every once in a while a guy gets his guns taken away by the police. One guy in Maryland. Another in CT. 4 more in Long Island represented by Mr. Bean. Another in NJ.

From all reports that I have read, as well as stories and posts from some of his friends and family, this young man had some serious PTSD due to his combat experiences.

I'm pretty sure they can have the carrier cut his service off. I dont know if it would entail a warrant or not though.

I think if you change the word "involved" to "reported", you might see things differently. What gets reported by the media changes over time; and typically to draw more viewers/clicks. None of it is necessarily fact.

The point is that serious doers and thinkers of today would be portrayed as drunk dudes with mental issues to the masses.
Unless you know them you are likely to buy that narrative.
Look at how many of the sharpest thinkers on the right are portrayed in the media as raving racists.

All I know is that the police made no mention of domestic violence until afterwards. They even made a statement for people to stop calling 911 and the police station because this wasn’t a gun issue but rather a man that needed mental help and no charges we’re going to be filed against him. They said that they just wanted the phones to get back to normal so that they could continue to serve the public. There was nothing reported about domestic violence. None. His videos, texts, and other news reports given to the media also never mentioned any inkling of domestic violence either. Just a shot fired at the residence and later no guns found because they had taken them already.
You guys forget that and are easily duped. They could have said that he was a drug dealer and gun runner and you would have eaten that up forgetting the original reports.

I was able to cut cell service within a certain radius in 1999 in Kosovo. We didn’t “cut“ it per se though, we overloaded the system by sending a ridiculous amount of fake signals.

Would you have liked to have seen the “revolution” start last night based on this kid?
