If the deputy that had the person delete the video did not also have them delete it from the trash bin, or if it automatically goes to a cloud then its out there. There should be a mistrial/acquittal.
Jury intimidation played a part in the Chauvin trial regardless of the circumstances.

Yeah, this is a terrible idea. The prosecution can tear him apart on cross and bring in stuff like the Proud Boys bullshit and practically anything else in his past if they are smart about it.
This is going to come down to who has the star witness that ends up looking the worst. Right now, the prosecution holds that title running away with Lefty. There's NO good reason for him to be doing this.

If this was a football game. Kyle is 1st and 10 with 30 seconds left and the coach calls a hail mary.
But on the other hand, if the 17 year old kid who is naive and believes in truth, justice, and the American Way demands to testify there is nothing his lawyers can do to stop him. The prosecution IMO has not proven anything other than people were chasing him threatening him and pointing a gun at him. The "law" was not present or "standing down". THERE WAS NO LAW! Someone should ask the cops, why were you not enforcing the law? Who ordered you to not do your jobs. Then call that person as a witness.
I gotta disagree with this one. I think him taking the stand is the best thing possible. The prosecution is going to screw up the cross examination

Let's hope so. Coming across as a decent, honest kid that got into a bad situation so far. But this is the easy part.
I am thinking this is a good thing for three reasons:
First, The Judge is on the side of the kid.
Second, Rittenhouse is coming across as a good kid and a better witness.
Third, the Prosecutor appears to be a complete tool.

I cannot believe that he is on the stand. The risk-benefit assessment is far against being beneficial. He could hurt himself.
All the defense had to do was say, "Your Honor, members of the jury, there is nothing more that we can add to prove the innocence of our client than has already been proven by the prosecution. The only sensible verdict is 'not guilty.' We expect that in your deliberation, you will see that to be the case."
As the old adage goes: When your enemy is in the process of committing suicide, do not stop him. In this case, the prosecution proved the defense's case with every wittness they put on the stand. Putting Kyle on the stand is way too risky.

Not for nothing, but for being 17 years old at the time the kid showed incredible restraint and coolness under pressure. To be getting chased by a mob and only firing on the people who posed a direct deadly threat to himself is amazing.

Maybe this should have been brought up. Give examples of people and police hitting everything but their target and compare that to this kid. IMHO it shows he wasn't there to be a baby killer and mass murderer.

Just heard DA ask Kyle if he meant to "kill people." Kyle insisted that he intended to "stop the person from attacking me and taking my gun." Excellent! He has had defensive training. We do not shoot to kill. We shoot to stop threats. If that results in death, so be it.
Not sure what type of training he has had, but I do know, he has a great legal team that prepared him for this cross examination.
