Prosecution insists that Rittenhouse could have stopped shooting Rosenbaum after one or two shots. Seriously? Rosenbaum grabbed the barrel of Rittenhouse's gun, Rittenhouse felt appropriately in fear for his life and fired 4 shots in 0.74 seconds. Rittenhouse fired rapidly when panicked under attack. The fact he fired 4 shots that rapidly shows that he was in fear for his life. Clearly self-defense.

The prosecutors (I'm guessing) didn't want this case but were told from high to push it, so here they are. They knew from the get-go it was a mountain to climb.
This is also why he says things like kyle should have just engaged in a fist-fight instead. People die or are permanently injured sometimes from as little as one punch to the head.

Exactly right. Someone died a few years ago in Rochester from one punch to the back of the head. If I recall correctly it stemmed from a dispute during a softball game. Apparently the guy that lost the argument waited until the game was over and his opponent was walking towards the car when he went up and sucker punched him with punch to the back of the head. Guy died from it.
So all this talk about just getting into a fistfight is ignorant nonsense.
Kid I went to HS with killed another kid I knew with a single punch over some BS argument. They were best-friends... don't know what happened afterwards it happened several years after we were out of HS.

If the jury believes that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense, then they can easily vote "not guilty" on charges 1,3,4, and 5.
Charge 2 is concerning. It implies that by shooting Rosenbaum in self-defense, Rittenhouse still put McGinniss in danger, thus "recklessly endangering safety." Unless there is some exception in the law, that limits criminal liability when acting in self-defense, I do not see how this charge is easily dismissed. It would appear, by this charge, that even if you shoot someone in self-defense, you are still criminally, and not just civilly, responsible for what all of your shots end up doing. That said, I am certainly not a lawyer.

That's what Little Binger wanted. He wanted someone to bring up how threatening pointing a gun at people is. It would've supported their main provocation allegation that Rittenhouse pointed the gun at the (alleged) arsonist.
