Anyone with both eyes open realizes this is a classic mexi-cali style standoff between the judge & jury. The jury is not going to deliver a verdict until the judge declares a mistrial and the judge will not rule on mistrial motions until a verdict has been reached. Nobody wants to be responsible for angering the mob.

My own property and family. If trouble finds me I'll deal with it. I'm not going to drive 20 miles just to insert myself where problems are. Turns out staying away from crime ridden areas is a good way to avoid crime. Who knew?!
A car dealership where the dealership owner doesn't even bother to have security isn't my concern and I'm not going to get myself involved in saving something that even the owner didn't care to protect.
