Granted I am not in the "won't buy ruger" camp. More in the "lets see what needs to happen for them to flip again" camp. Since this is all being brought up.


How many of you who are fuck Ruger because of Bill and his shit out look voted for Trump. You know the guy who wrote in his book

Not so much weak as it is narrow in scope like @Willjr75's gripe. I don't think I read anything by Will that states he thinks Rugers are crap. He just has an issue with what the company's founder did and said. I get that and I understand why someone would avoid their products based on principle. That said, Bill Ruger is gone, the company is different now and they have reversed their stance on standard capacity mags. They also make AR15's and other cool tactical stuff.
To say that you wouldn't drive a Volkswagon because they were funded by Nazis, is understandable but on the other hand, if we all thought that way, then Germany wouldn't be the ally it is nor would Japan. The money no longer goes to Nazi's or other fascists. A lot of our defense tech was imported with captured Nazi scientists. Should we hate our military for that?

@gun_slinger_boy, I have been considering a Sub 2000 for a while now and I see them at the range pretty often. I have shot a few and liked them. However most of the Sub 2000 owners I've talked to have trouble with them. And the bolt doesn't lock back when empty, the Ruger does.

Fair enough. I can't fault "authentic" "real world" testing lol. It's just when people go on about things they have 0 experience with and plastic and plastic and plastic yadi yadi yada that bothers me. What kind of problems were the owners reporting? Gen 1 or Gen 2?

Those who still hold Bill Rugers comments from 1989 against the company today, Must also agree that white people today owe descendants of slaves $ even though most people now descend from people that came here after 1865!

i detest his comments from back then, but i think they are a different company now and frankly i love ruger firearms. they are "rugged and reliable" and those are 2 of the most important qualities I personally look for when buying a firearm.

Hey. I don't hold your "The law is the law because the courts said it was." against you. I still talk to you. But if you looked Fuddish, I wouldn't talk to you anymore. :D

In all seriousness, if Ruger allowed you to change your calibers, barrels, and other accessories, I'd be all over one and may even sell mine so I don't have to play the grey area legality route but they don't.

I respect all disciplines ! I don't have an AR 15 ( I did just pick up a Ares SCR) have 3 Mini 14's had 2 before the Safe Act. Have a DPMS LR 308 several bolt guns and more 22's then I can remember! And my Hand guns! So I would say I'm a Tactical/Fudd!!!

As far this little Carbine like the 10/22 I see a lot of after market support! For me I first would like to see a MP mag well adapter as I have a MP 40/9!

Just watched a video from 22plinkster on you tube this carbine seems to be quit accurate.

Reliability is an issue that has dogged both the first and second gen guns. The owners I've talked to and the guns I've personally fired were all second gen. In the hand they feel solid and sturdy to me. Not everyone has problems with theirs. The problem with Kel Tec in general seems to be inconsistent manufacturing quality. You might get a good one that runs aces for The rest of your life, or you might get a lemon. What with the other options one the market I've chosen not to gamble on one.
