That's why I went with screws for the joist hangers (yes, the joist hanger screws) I'm installing this weekend. Building a dock that I want to last, and honestly I hate swinging a hammer (I suck at it), and the screws will hold a LOT better than the nails, but also potentially make life a little easier IF it ever needs to come apart for repairs.

Question: Your roof for the side lean-to is attached to the wall, but it's not part of the shed roof. Will you be leaving the floor as dirt or adding in something else?
I wanted to add something like this to my garage, but I'm getting a lot of "You'll probably have to pour a pad that joins the existing garage floor pad"
Can I get by that by doing the roof like you did and building a floor instead?

Looks great. I wanted to put a lean to onto my shed for firewood but it's so windy up here it would get soaked anyway. So I went with a second shed.
Yeah ideally shed would have been on footers as well I dont expect any problems though. Its sorta built like a deck shed is on it's own foundation, ledger board connected to shed wall runs to posts on footings. Not sure if there would be code requirement to have slab connected with garage but if you were adding a deck it would likely be put on footings. It's not supporting much weight guess there could be problem is shed moves but woodshed roof stays put. Again don't believe there is anything to worry about.
We're adding a floor tied into shed posts and the 4x4s retaining gravel. Will also add a couple posts on inside and we're going to run some slats horizontally on sides.

Looking good. I like the Poured footings for wood pile.
Getting closer started sheathing roof but ran out of daylight. Hopefully get roof done tomorrow.
Little concerned about getting up on left side there isn't much width, pitch is kinda steep and the tree isn't helping matters. May look into picking up some brackets and run board across. I can get several courses done from ladder and plank.

Was concerned with door being so wide there wouldn't be enough lateral support on front of building. I glued the sheathing to front and put a ton of nails in. Basically made the front wall a big truss lol. No worries now it is ROCK solid...

Save the cash until you really need to buy the brackets for another job. Just nail a couple of 2x4's horizontally on the roof sheathing and use them as foot holds and hand holds if you will. Serves the same function as the brackets and saves the cha-ching in your pocket.

What brand are the folding saw horses that you have the portable work space on? I want yo put something non permanent along the wall in the garage next to the chimney. Do those ears on the end come with the horses to keep the bench top in place? How long are the horses across the top?
Not sure of brand I think they are pretty much same as these DEWALT 33 in. Folding Sawhorse with Adjustable Metal Legs-DWST11031 - The Home Depot
The "ears" are just a notch in top that accepts a 2x4 (or any 2x). I'd say its about 2' wide possibly a little more. I'll measure on Monday.
