If anyone is interested in a solution to help prevent this from happening again, I think I've got it worked out.
1.) Eliminate make-believe 'gun free' zones.
2.) Empower the responsible adults who work in schools to protect themselves and the kids they're responsible for by allowing them to arm themselves if they would like to do so.
3.) Lock up the crazy, criminal, scum-bag, vermin mutts who have demonstrated they are incapable of peacefully participating in our society.

First and foremost, I would like to give my condolences to all of the families involved in this horrible incident. Very tragic, I could not imagine how I would feel if this were to happen at my child's school. Horrible does not describe this.

Nikolas Cruz was a patient at a mental health clinic & “had been dealing with mental health issues,” but hadn't been in for treatment in over a year.
Most likely was having problems before he was old enough to buy guns. If he was this dangerous, why wasn't he institutionalized?

I was listening to Breitbart News on satellite radio on the way in this morning and they were talking about the subject so I decided to place a phone call to see if I could get through. Surprisingly I did, and I got to make my point about using some of Trumps 1.5 trillion infrastructure plan to beef up school security as well as a point about allowing teachers to carry.
This is the only answer, there are modern ballistic materials that can be used within doors so that they do not look any different, and functional windows and glass partitions that could be Bulletproof. Even a fence could be put up around schools so vehicular traffic is directed to certain points of Entry, where each car could display a color of the month to be allowed access into the school grounds ( during school hours). It doesn't need to be complicated or made to feel like a prison, these fences could be as simple as a four foot high picket fence, and the guard could be dressed in plain clothes to look like a teacher.
