There are ways to mitigate and minimize the amount of events if that truly was the intention. There will never be a way to prevent all of them. As we all know the gun laws in switzerland are no like those here. 18 year olds with a trouble past cannot easily obtain a semi-automatic rifle.

In buffalo an armed guard failed to stop the guy. And in texas this guy had already been engaged by police before entering the school.

Clearly the only way to actually stop these shootings is to stop mentally ill/evil people from obtaining the guns. It's impossible to stop entirely, but throwing our hands up and saying who cares let's try and just arm more people is not reasonable.

Per capita the USA is magnitudes worse for these events than any other western country and these discussions are never honest about why.

We used to lock away the severely mentally ill in this country and try to help them. Now we celebrate their mental illness as "inspiring " and encourage it.

The Demorats solution to this is alway's the same. And it will never change. It's the guns, the NRA, and the Republicans fault. Their on the warpath now. Their running the show. With all their theatrics an all. IMO more bs gun laws will be passed this time.

As far as teachers carrying and armed guards in schools. While not perfect. Makes sense to me. And i am sure too. That alot of veterans would be glad to do it for free. But as we know. Most schools, and teachers, are liberal and don't like guns period. So that's out of the question. And any type of security measures is going to cost money. Which i doubt they would want to spend.

Step one is to fix our education system. The government run schools are entirely within the power of the government to fix without violating anyone's rights.

You have the right to free speech, you do not have a right to a government paycheck to indoctrinate kids. So, step one is de-woke the schools.

Higher education can also be fixed without violating anyone's rights. You can be whatever kind of stupid you want, but don't expect the taxpayers to fund your efforts or back student loans for your gender studies program.

Those alone would fix things in a generation or 2, without violating anyone's rights.

Of course, the first institution you need to disinfect is the government itself. That can also be done without violating anyone's rights, but you need control of the government to do it.

A solid RINO proof determined majority of both houses of congress, the presidency, and keeping SCOTUS from going all activist could do it in a decade.
