New details emerged on the border agents who killed the mass murderer inside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Border Patrol agents arrived far earlier than previously reported. CPB BORTAC SWAT team was investigating stash houses on the border to the west of Uvalde and agents not in the SWAT team also rushed to the school, according to a report from Texas Monthly. They arrived at Robb Elementary School around 12:15 pm.
According to multiple reports, the agents did not coordinate with the Uvalde Police Department due to their poor response. They acted on their own initiative after local police told them to wait. Around 12:50 pm, they breached the door and engaged the Uvalde school shooter.
This is an outrageous new detail that has just been released tonight, 3 days after the shooting.

The city of Uvalde has a population of 15,000 .. About the same size as Batavia NY. . How much training did this police force have .. (swat wise ) besides dressing up for that photo. ? Granted state and county were present but were we looking at a police force with little swat experience ?

Don’t make excuses for them. At this point in time we’ve had enough of these incidents to know that waiting to engage leads to more deaths. If this police dept and it’s officers aren’t prepared or willing to do whatever is necessary I’m sure they could get jobs in a different field. If the dept purchased all that gear with zero training then fuck them and fuck the officers and their union for going along with it. Basically those asshat cowards are larping then. Might as well be at a paintball match. But I’m sure they do a damn fine job setting up speed traps and harassing people for weed.

If it takes that little to shoot out a secure door, then it begs the question, why did the cops wait for a key to open the door rather than just shoot it out in a few seconds? Maybe it is not as easy as that? Now, presumably, we are talking two different doors, but I would hope the exterior door is at least as secure, or more secure than an interior door. Maybe not, I am speculating
Now, to make one thing clear, I am not saying this is the only thing that should be done. Of course there should be an armed trained officer inside that can possibly stop or delay the assailant.
And are not talking 59 minutes, we were talking 4, and now, possibly 2 minutes between the shooter making entrance and the cops making entrance.
Plus, can you shoot out a secure door stealthily? I doubt it. Maybe in the movies you can. So someone unleashes a barrage of bullets at a secure door, and now everyone in the area knows shit just got real. So your training is to close and lock, if not already, your interior secure door. The same one that the swat team apparently needed the key for. So why did they not just shoot out the lock like they do on TV?? Maybe because that is TV. I don't know, anyone have a video of someone trying to shoot out the lock of a secure door, Moy from a movie?
Double classroom, I'm sure there was at least a few windows.

The cops couldn't shoot out a door because they were concerned with hitting kids on the other side.
The attacker obviously wouldn't have been.
Cops *do* regularly shoot out doors using special frangible ammunition to mitigate the danger of over penetration. It takes seconds to do.
If you don't care about hitting bystanders on the other side of the door regular ammunition will work just fine.

So not a single cop thought hey, let's go look through the window and see what is going on? Maybe we can shoot him from there. From video I have seen the windows were very high up and would have needed a ladder to reach. Again, not an easy entry for a single gunman lugging a lot of gear already.
