Then why is everyone losing their shit over sig having a recall on the p320?

So do I but I don't make it a habit to drop the pistol and I still carry it because it won't go off in my holster.

That cop didn't make it a habit to drop it either and he ended up shooting himself. It went off in his holster after his whole duty belt fell to the ground. Nobody makes it a habit to drop a pistol. Get it fixed. So do I but I don't make it a habit to drop the pistol and I still carry it because it won't go off in my holster.
yep ... @Edwardteach72
with the hammer test, the slide is not out of battery .. its physics .. the trigger is on a pin , hence a pendulum with some sear pressure from spring.. enough motion will overcome that and trigger will drop .. boom .. just like you pulled it .. .. deal with it or add a trigger block safety slide button to lock the trigger from moving ..
hope i never drop my musket after i press the set trigger ... its under 1oz pull ..

@Edwardteach72 yep i agree with you .. your friend is wrong and sig too if thats what there doing ..
i don't see it as SIGs fault at all .. its physics .. like Yankee said .. its not a design flaw .. unless we all need guns that be droped from 20 feet and not go off
no matter how they hit the floor ..
my 54cal musket on set trigger is under 1 ounce .. ... crap just breath and it goes off .. not to mention trying to get your cold winter finger in the trigger hole with a glove on ..
@Edwardteach72
SIG should learn physics LOL .. don't drop your gun ..
NASCAR ,,., Don't hit the wall ..
Heisenberg uncertainty principle ...
what safety is on that car or 4x4 with a 70yr old guy or gal in the middle of a stroke or sugar issue blasting thru a group of people at a wedding .. GRRRR some take this crap to the extreme cuz OMG its a gun ,.. fkin hate it ..
If Chevy Corvettes are so good, why are they on Gen 7 today? Shouldn't they still be pumping out the exact same C1 model from 1953? Or is it prudent to continually improve your product through constant R&D and technology advances over the years?
It would seem like a simple drop in trigger replacement with a safe action style trigger block would be a cheap, easy, effective fix. It seems like Sig is making this a bit more complicated than it really should be.The "I don't plan on dropping my gun crowd." needs to realize that nobody plans on dropping their guns. Shit happens. Stop defending SIG as if you yourself are CEO and the actual designer of the 320.
It was a poor design. There is nothing stopping that triggers inertia from being pulled when dropped like that. A gun like a 1911 will not go off like that due to it's grip and manual safety. The trigger wouldn't go back. A gun like a Glock with a trigger safety also cannot go off like that. The trigger wouldn't go back unless the trigger safety was pressed.
There is nothing stopping the SIG trigger.
Except that it happened in real life not under test conditions.
