But the good thing about factory ammo in the KB respect is that the ammo manufacturers generally buy you a new gun.

In all reality, if the Beretta's frames are intact, a change of springs and a barrel is all that's needed. A Soldier, Airman, Sailor, or Marine never uses a pistol as a primary in combat. They are issued rifles and carbines. The pistol hardly ever fires a shot in anger. It's really a last ditch back against the wall and out of rifle ammo kind of thing.
About the only time it's used as a primary is by MP's at a military post on base on American soil or by troops tasked with security when transferring munitions from base to base on American soil or other similar miscellaneous actions in peace time.
Or if you are a special @dsdmmat civilian type of guy tagging along with troops.
