Installed the flat trigger yesterday. While I had it apart I found a rough edge on the trigger bar where it slides against the side of the FCU. Polished it out and put her back together. I really like the feel of the trigger so far. Trigger weight is the same but take up seems to be reduced and you get more leverage which makes the pull seem lighter. I would say overall travel may be reduced slightly too. Can't wait to get it to the range later this week.

I don’t mind the set in sights but the recessed slide lock I don’t see how that could ever help you. I’ve never had my slide lock hang up on anything. Just a way to sell more guns.
I’d seriously look at the 365 XL honestly.

So it effectively has a 2 inch barrel now smh. The sight is cool though.
The slide lock on most Sigs are positioned very close to where I rest my right thumb against the grip module. Some people, including me, tend to ride the slide lock which prevents the slide from locking open on the last round. I've trained around problem for the most part but it still happens occasionally.

The porting ruins it. The barrel is already tiny.
That and those sights... but yes any thing under 4" porting is more detrimental than beneficial and this barrel is way under that

Is there any info that you are aware of that porting the barrel minimizes recoil 4inch vs 3inch barrel? They claim in the video a 30 percent reduction.
I'd be weary of that. There is a reason why ports are no longer used by competition shooters since like the 90s and why compensators are the go to

I’m not that knowledgeable on barrel porting honestly. I was just going off what others said that seem to know more than I do on the subject. Honestly I’ve never researched it because I’ve never thought about porting a barrel.
Here’s a pretty good article on the positives and negatives of barrel porting. I guess it’s subjective and what matters most to you the shooter. Is lower velocity and the other drawbacks not as big of a concern for you compared to recoil? That’s a personal decision to me.

I just saw the new SAS model and I do like what they did with the controls. I have not shot the 365 a ton but I would lock the slide while shooting. I know that could be a training issue, but under stress I do not want to need to be perfect for the pistol to operate. The sight is interesting but would need to try it to have an opinion. Not sure about the porting either.
But what we have learned about Sigs is it may not be best to be the first guy on the block to buy a new model.....

I know a lot of people hate Springfield due to their previous anti gun stances. With that said, I had an XDS when they first came out without knowing of their previous anti gun stances and really liked the gun. It was a well made gun. There was no primer drag and no malfunctions of any kind.
I would buy this over a Sig any day of the week just do to reliability issues.

XDS’s? Never knew anyone that had problems. Two 9’s and One .45. I cannot speak for XD’s though.
Oh go old yea lot of extractor breaks and the big one is the grip safety will break causing the gun to lock up.
Over on primary and secondary (forum) the creator Matt tries to get his hands on as much data from as many instructors as possible, to include catastrophic failures (things the need a gun Smith and cannot be fixed there at the class) and the number one line of guns that cant make it through classes are XD.
Along with collecting data on high round count guns with many making it in the 10-15,000 or more, XD vary rarely make it that far before failures

Like I said. I can’t speak for XD’s or XDM’s. Only the reliability of the XDS and it was 100 percent reliable with the 3 that I knew of. But even if true about the others which I am not disputing, they are definitely more reliable than anything Sig has put out lately.
Oh I'm not trying to defend sig by any means, but the whole XD line any of them with the grip safety. They use cheap MIM parts and once that grip safety breaks you are usually stuck with a live round in the gun.
Also my buddy picked up a 365 less than 3 weeks of having it and the front sight is rusting bad ... took a while but sig finally said they will send him a new sight
