I have a shirt of this. I sort of stopped wearing it when the pandemic hit cause it was a little distasteful, but fuck it -- it's been long enough.

I agree Some not all.It is a shame that so many on this forum live so far away. Some people here; it would be my honor and privilege to join up with them.
Native Americans lived off the land most of their known existence. It's possible, just not easy.
I think it's more important to have a group of people that you can trust to help each other survive.
I agree Some not all.
It is good to know like minded people but im the end when the survival need ans instinct kicks in you will find excellent partners with the most unexpected folks. A petite female dancer can become the best of survivalists. Even a rabid liberal will forget all man made bs politics and get down to business.
We are all hardwired to survive, it is just a trade we do not use anymore so for some people will require to break down and either perish or come back stronger.
Political views will do nothing for anyone in the long run. It will help in a herd or tribe but eventually we will go back to many of the old ways.

The homo-sapiens survived thanks to the tribe and cooperation. It is the only socialism that works well where everyone contributes proportionally, even the elderly sometimes until their last breathThis seems to be the case. A lot of people think they're going to lone wolf it, but it's for more efficient to have people doing specialized jobs than context switching constantly. A lot of time is lost when you switch roles, and time is survival.
One can be a lone wolf rambo until one gets appendicitis or something. People operate on themselves only in the movies. This seems to be the case. I guess you'd have to just make sure they never make it up that far.I believe that I have mentioned this before. One would think that the Adirondacks would be a logical place to go to in a real SHTF... However It will be overrun by people from NY City. These folks will be jumping at their own shadow at night. Hear a raccoon at midnight and next would be a bonfire with 6 ft flames... .. Have many thousands like minded people doing the same thing in the summer and in a few weeks most everything would be on fire with no one to put it out...
Many cows are so stupid that might be the last animal that could use a glock even if you gave them a holster and a nice trigger finger.I mean we don't have to torture the animals, but fuck -- if a cow knew how to operate a glock, and had a thirst for blood, we'd all be dead and digested four times by now.
I think such dire circumstances are highly unlikely to occur. The true threat is an increasingly authoritarian government stepping in to lock everything and everyone down before things got to such a state. It is a shame that so many on this forum live so far away. Some people here; it would be my honor and privilege to join up with them.
That said, my preemptive move would be to rural Wisconsin, the land of my birth. I have a lot of family out that way and some of em have actual functional farms. And my one cousin and her husband know how to make pickles. The best goddamn pickles I have ever tasted. They gave me a big jar of em and it was gone in 3 days. Afterwards I shit my brains out. If one hasn't done so before head my warning: do not eat large quantities of pickles in a short period of time.
Let me guess, city of Madison right? My college educated woke children started looking for a place for the family to survive the the global warming catastrophe finally happened
They decided on Wisconsin.

Bingo! That's where the oldest is now. My SIL is getting his Ph.d. in Sacred Music. They both have Masters in Opera Performance. They have my grandson!Let me guess, city of Madison right?
Got my well drilling permit back from the state. For me, I hate being back in a city. I would likely want to get out if things went south, but I would likely bug in first. My quickest way out of the city is east but to the east it's all mountains. I'm pretty much surrounded by big mountains and there are only a few passes (at least road passes). I could go south, but that would put me through the bulk of urban sprawl. West means I have to go through more city and then desert. North is more city and mountains. Plus if I did make it east over the mountains, I'd likely end up getting shot by some HOA asshole or mauled by a moose.
They all come out that way. 95% if the people I knew from college are all on the leftist socialist plantation. Only @Catskillkid made it out not on the political bandwagonMy college educated woke children started looking for a place for the family to survive the the global warming catastrophe finally happened

Any details on the solar setup?Got my well drilling permit back from the state.
And have signed a contract for a 15kw solar plant for the roof.
If things get bad here, I'm not sure where you'd want to big out *to*. There might be some better locations in the middle of Montana or something, but I think we'll be pretty good here.
Need to get a garden setup though. I'm not a fan of the "store enough food to survive forever" plan. I prefer the "store enough to allow you to time to adapt plan."
Going with a pair of sol-ark 12k inverters and a 15Kw nominal array on the roof and a modest 400Ah 48v battery bank.Any details on the solar setup?
Well, buy the sound of it, in the near future they won't have any cops fucking with them.My college educated woke children started looking for a place for the family to survive the the global warming catastrophe finally happened

We need to spring that boy and get a .22 in his hands right away.Bingo! That's where the oldest is now. My SIL is getting his Ph.d. in Sacred Music. They both have Masters in Opera Performance. They have my grandson!
Not surprised. Madison is where all the crunchiest of the crunchy granola types live.Bingo! That's where the oldest is now. My SIL is getting his Ph.d. in Sacred Music. They both have Masters in Opera Performance. They have my grandson!
