I liked Byron Brown as a person , not as a leader. I met him twice, very very nice man. His policy's? NO! He reduced the speed limit on the 198 to 30 miles an hour because someone fell alseep at the wheel and killed a person in the park . Now everyone avoids the 198 like the plague, causing the surrounding areas to back up with heavy traffic. Its a fucking nightmare. Then the no pursuit policy's for ATV riders on the street . I can go on .He's not the sharpest tool in the shed. To his credit He has made a difference downtown and on the waterfront.

Primary turnout is always low. That is why I have repeatedly said #2A activists need to be involved especially in Democrat politics as that is the only way to knock many incumbents out of office.

I was being facetious about the tweets supporting the industry, but contrary to popular opinion I do think they were a net positive. Trump could use them to wind up the media like a bunch of toy monkeys.

And this is exactly why I am a proponent of making all large cities independent fiefdoms surrounded by an independent self governing rural culture. The cities can supply the artsy fartsy culture that they think the whole world craves, and we’ll supply food, water, electricity, and transportation at prevailing market rates.

When I first read this today I said to myself "Wow, I guess Buffalo may actually be able to elect a Republican mayor with that whackadoodle as the Democrat's candidate." Then I read that they didn't even bother to put anyone up. Friggin' typical of the NY Republican Party.

We're a population of about 3,500 people, most of them being registered Republicans (this was the Republican Primary). We had about 250 people come out and vote in the primary. 250 out of a population of 3,500 (with probably about 2,000 of them being registered Republicans). I know voter turnout is low especially in the primaries but I still find this quite sad that civic engagement is so low.
And this, as you all know, is coming from an elected Republican official.

- *My* taxes are lower with the enhanced child tax credit, maybe yours aren't, but mine are, and to me that counts, I care about my money more than yours or the money of anyone else. Remember, greed is good. Trump raised my taxes, so yeah Biden has been notably better for me there.
- Border wall halted. Border wall was a waste. While Biden won't put lots of boots on the border like I'd prefer to stop illegals, at least we aren't wasting money on a wall now.
- Executive order that employers can no longer legally discriminate in the workplace on the basis of sexual orientation. I'm anti discrimination across the board. Doesn't really effect me personally, but on my moral compass this is the right policy.
- Updated regulatory review ( Modernizing Regulatory Review | The White House ) Eliminates 59th minute regulation changes on executive branch regulatory actions. IE. A president can't enact a bunch of shit last minute.
- No more presidential twitter outbursts that look like they were written by an academically challenged heckler.
Those are just a few. I have a lot to criticize about Biden, outside of the border wall being halted his success on immigration has been abysmal at best. Wasn't a fan of the massive stimulus Biden did, but Trump did a shit ton there too so it's more or less a wash. Not a fan of extending the eviction moratoriums, but then again Trump started them, there never should have even been a damn moratorium and ban on landlords having use of their own damn property. Etc. There are actually some things I liked better about Trump (ie. border performance with exception of the wall, comparative 2A stance, etc.), but weighing all the + and - out on a scale I'd still prefer Biden.
My income rose by 10k over the 4 years of Trump's presidency, regulations impeding my professional life were rolled back. Trade deals with foreign powers, particularly China, were renegotiated along more favorable lines for American citizens. We made more progress with talks with North Korea than at any time since the Korean War. 3 major peace deals/normalized relations were brokered between Israel and its Muslim neighbors were achieved. A withdrawal from Afghanistan was in place. All under Trump, tge best present we have had in 40 years. Brainwashed leftists like you have been murdering this country for as long as I have lived. You need to be punished for it.

I somehow doubt that your financial situation will be better under Biden than it was under Trump.
Maybe you're one of the unicorns who actually has a lower tax bill, this year. Bit it's a safe bet anyone who actually works for their money is going to pay a lot more sooner or later. The left isn't buying votes with their *own* money.
And even *if* your taxes remain lower, those dollars aren't going to go as far. A 2% lower tax bill is a terrible thing if you paid for it with 6% inflation.
As for the wall, even if it were completely ineffective at deterring illegal immigration it would still be better than "helicopter money" for economic stimulus.
Of course, walls *do* work, otherwise we wouldn't have been building them for millennia. They are not perfect, but they are a deterrent. They may not stop human traffickers, but they certainly drive up their cost which will decrease their activity.

And finally we come down to "the tweets". I loved the tweets. They irritated the right people. Schadenfreude I guess, but something about the people who don't like them makes me glad they were as prolific as they were. I miss them.
Why do you consider "the tweets" an irritant ? I think it was refreshing to hear from a leader who expressed their genuine feelings on a topic without filtering them through 2 focus groups and 5 image consultants first.

I hear you, and that is why I say Republicans CAN win in this state, but most people do not show up to vote. I bet here on this forum more than 80% did not vote in this last primary.
