IMHO, he is just another fuckin RINO. Gaetz is no hero by any means, but he is correct. The BS of endless CR's and other backroom deals has to stop.

So, they held his feet to the fire, and he continued with his CR crap. I say good that he is out. Now, as to where they will go from here? Who the hell knows.

No. Not how it works. The Position is still a position of the Majority Party.

According to Rule I, clause 8 of the House rules, the next person on that list “shall act as Speaker pro tempore until the election of a Speaker or a Speaker pro tempore.” So whoever is first on McCarthy's list will take over as speaker in an acting capacity.

Technically no. And since McCarthy went back on his pledges he made to get the job he wasn't any different than a democrat.

Gaetz is a publicity hound and a wild card. Is this really the result of conviction or ambition. We'll soon find out.

He is also facing some sort of house investigation as well. Let them fight. They show us who they are everyday.

From what I've read McCarthy hasn't made many friends on the democratic side of the aisle. When a lying dirtbag like Adam Schiff says McCarthy is a two faced liar that says something (takes one to know one).

The democrats got their funding bill and know the press will have a field day with the "republicans in disarray narrative. You don't murder a group that is about to commit suicide.

They will do anything to make Republicans look like crap. This is war my friend. McCarthy is in between a rock and a hard place. There is no Republican who can do the job. There is a razor thin majority and the house freedom caucus has enough votes to pull a move like today but they are a minority within the Republican house. It’s a no win situation. Bottom line - republicans are powerless.

Speaker doesn't have to be in congress, could be anyone. Doubt that would ever happen because they would have to put country above party!
