When they first came out, yes. But adding rails to a gun now is not innovation. It’s just a preference.
Example.
X gun company had no rails since rails weren’t invented.
Y gun company invented a rail and featured it on their new line of guns.
That’s innovation. But because a third gun company puts rails on their gun, that isn’t innovation. Chopping a barrel short and chopping a grip to fit 10 in the magazine isn’t innovation now. Glock and Taurus did that years ago. Sig just copied and did it differently. The SAS sight on a Sig isn’t innovation. The SAS sight has been out for years.
That’s like me making an AR with an integrated ACOG in the housing of the upper receiver and saying that my gun is innovative.
Embedding the sight in the slide to reduce any snag is innovation. Wonder who will copy? What other pistol maker does such?
