Arisaka makes great stuff. I have one of their in-line Mlok mounts for a Surefire Scout.
Same here. It keeps the light tucked in nice and tight to the hand guard.
Every rifle light I have is attached with an Arisaka mount. That one wil be mounting a Modlight onto the up coming Ace "pistol".
I’ve contemplated swapping back to the Arisaka In-Line mount instead of the Unity LightWing. The LightWing sticks the light slightly further away from the rail but that’s because it’s made to clear a Peq15, which I don’t have on that build (yet! lol). I’ll attach old pics of how tight the In-Line mount keeps the light. I was running the Cloud Defensive LCS and my Surefire M600DF at the time.
I love my Modlite. It’s awesome. Candela for days!

Lumentop FW3A, 2,800 lumens @ 4251cd so its a floody, not a thrower.
Oh yea just over double the lumens. But fraction of the candela.
Solid performance for a handheld though
From what I understand lumens are a measure of the total light output while candela is a measure of intensity.
For EDC I need to light up a large area nearby, typically right in front of me.

Actually, the FW3A is about the smallest, brightest 18650 light you can get. It's smaller than the 18350 Modlight.
I'm about to look into it
$42 on Amazon. It is not a tactical light. UI is far too complicated, you might be liable to switch it into one of its myrid modes when you didn't intend. I am always putting it into momentary mode when I meant to engage the lockout function.

Updated permit and purchase coupon came in the mail today, need to line up appointment to pick up the P238. For those of you keeping score it was about 4 days short of a month, I think.
I'll look into that, seems like cheap insurance.
I am hoping that with tge KX5 sticking a good bit forward of the light and with it projecting everything forward that the light will stay free of fouling. If this Galil kills the Modlight I will be irritated, its hell of a lot more 'spensive than that Streamlight was.
