Finally got a proper home for my gun smithing tools. And it is completely full. I may have to get another lower cabinet to fit the rest in.
I know some people had issues with Ghost connectors because they require fitting them by filing. If it’s a true drop-in, then it hopefully shouldn’t have an issue. I do like the factory Glock minus connector that I have polished.Got this today. Might mess around with it and see what I think. Not really sold on it for reliability reasons.

They do have a few different styles. Some you have to file down and some like this are direct drop in.I know some people had issues with Ghost connectors because they require fitting them by filing. Okay, this is the final peice of the Galil truck gun project. And its not even gonna be attached full time.
@Edwardteach72, @Will555 and all you other AK guys, the Blue Force Gear U-Loops are just the way to go for sling attachments.
I would agree if you still have the factory handguard retainer sling mount. But I’m making sure it’s not being installed on my barrel because I have no need for it. My SLR rail has integrated QD points. Since AK’s tend to get front heavy, I removing as much unnecessary weight as I can. If wanted to have a QD sling attachment anywhere on my rail I’ll install an Mlok QD attachment point like the one BCM makes. Then for the rear sling attachment my SBA3 also has QD points. But for your setup, you’re definitely going about it the right way. I’ve seen Vickers talk about that method of sling attachments on AK’s.View attachment 89959

They newer, smaller ones are even better I think, less weaving to do.I was a bit apprehensive at first to the U-loops but since there isn't many options when it comes to AL style sling attachments I figured I'd give it a shot since well BFG is a solid ass company with solid ass products.
And have decided of QD isnt an option the U-loops are the best way to go

QD mounts are better for sure. What I like about the U-Loops are that you can make them work on just about anything. Since the Galil offers HK loops front and back, I just went with em.I would agree if you still have the factory handguard retainer sling mount. I may have to replace the one I have for the smaller one, I like that one better by looking at it hahaha
