I just got in some fresh screws for my 629. I marred them all with sloppy screwdriver work when I first got the revolver. While I was at it, I bought the extended cylinder release for it as well. It's very nice not to have to break my grip to release the cylinder. Should be great for keeping a consistent grip while target shooting.

Also got some Birchwood Casey lead remover and polishing cloths. They work great at getting all of the burn marks off. Not to mention helping to get the lead out from a handload I tried that left a ton of lead deposited in the barrel. View attachment 147638

With all the handling of more modern age grip textures I've been doing lately like the PPQ or Q5 Match SF or some of the HKs like the VP9, the stock G26 Gen 3 was just lame in that department. This should help with follow up shots.

I'd like to get good enough to hunt with mine. I was close before last hunting season, but not quite there. What kind of bullet/ammo do you use? How quickly do the deer go down?

Man, it's f#$kin expensive to switch brands. $410 and I still need the charger, tool bag, and another battery!
Ps, I was happy for 2 seconds not needing a background check for this gun but then I had to chase a kid down to unlock the battery cabinet.
