Hell-muthafuckin-no! Wouldn't catch me installing that liner. The company damn aure ain't gonna pay me labor to re-do it.

I had to "order" it essentially..

Well more like saw it on the dealers website, called to see about it and all that.. (2 weeks ago) they said yea its on its way won't be delivered until June 3rd if I wanted it I'd have to reserve it.

So I did, then got the call last Thursday hey it came in early.. picked it up the next day

We tried to order a 5 door Impreza and they said nope we don’t have any and can’t order any. We then ordered a Crosstrek because it had the options we wanted on it anyway and they said it will be a few months. Been a few weeks now and heard nothing. I told the guy if we didn’t hear by mid-June I’d call him. He said we should have it by then.

Yea it sucks trying to buy a vehicle right now.. I was really trying to push it another year or 2 but we couldn't wait any longer the VW is on its last leg

I was in the same boat and two years ago when my son went for his permit I told him I’d give him the old car we had. I couldn’t go back on that and there’s nothing cheap out there. When I told him that two years ago the car was worth $12,000 and now it’s selling for $20,000. Who the hell would have thought it would have gone up that much?? I figured the car would be worth $8,000 when we passed it his way.
We tried to wait until the shit storm passed to buy a new one, but there’s just too much going on. Both my grams are dying, my son needs two surgeries, my other son has some medical issues, my wife’s uncle just died, kids going to college, and getting a job. It just wasn’t practical to stick with one care for my wife and I. I got mine for MSRP so I didn’t get hosed. Buying used was a joke and a used one of the same car was $2,500-$3,000 more than what we got for new. Same car, same trim so I asked why and the salesmen said we have it and if you need it now it works for both of us. I said well I don’t need it now so I’ll buy new.

Damn I'm so sorry to hear all that.

Yea I was hoping to buy used like 2 or 3 years old.. but they are the same as new so I said it's not worth it I'll get one with zero miles on it and a few extra bells and whistles

It’s what it is. It’s a lot but I can’t change it. Thanks though and it’s been a bit stressful around here to say the least.

I found the same with 3 year old cars and don’t forget that used cars are up 40% and new are only up 12%. You’ll lose your ass if you need to sell that used car in 3-5 years.

The Honda dealer tried real hard to push me to a used civic and didn’t even want to explore getting us a new one so I walked. He knew we had an appointment at the Subaru dealer because it was the same network and he could see it scheduled. He said what can I do to get you to buy this car and cancel the appointment at Subaru? I told him it’s all about dollars and cents/sense so give me a price that makes sense or I’m gone!! I told him if the price didn’t come down that I’d be buying a new Subaru. They told me they could drop the used one a few hundred bucks so I said that doesn’t add up for me, sorry. We left and did exactly what we told him we would do. We got a Crosstrek that was brand new and two trim levels up for $3,000 more bags a base model 2019 civic. Yeah we made the right choice.

I saw on Twitter how AR-15’s shoot bullets faster than any other semi automatic and that’s why they should be banned. I said oh yeah what about a bolt action riffle in the same caliber? What about a .223 AR vs a riger mini 14? No response.
