Building a rifle for a buddy of mine. Got my hands on the extremely difficult to get new 10.5” SOLGW M89 Drive Lock rail in collaboration with Hodge Defense that they just released. The rail has been slightly beefed up and you can tell by handling it it’s a duty-grade rail. Features the index pin that mates up with the SOLGW upper. Also has the two anti-rotational tabs as backup to keep the trail from rotating on top of the bombproof Drive Lock system. I was also able to get one of the nicest 11.5” barrels out there, the Criterion Core. It will be going on a SOLGW Rebellious Stripes receiver set. Lots of Forward Controls Design accessories and a Vltor A5 buffer system is being added as well.
I think my mom sent me this. Was on my porch when I got home this morning. I was talking to her about how I was restocking my depleted medium term food stores and I asked her if box mac 'n cheese was any good with powered milk. I guess she went and sent me some. She's cool like that.
According to my mum tge only time powered milk is any good is when used for instant macs.
She grew up quite poor and Grandma would mix up gallons of tge stuff at a time in lieu of fresh milk. Wasn't a fan, my mother.

Me too! Hopefully I’ll have some time Sunday to get it out and start to learn. It’s the cheapy one they sell so I’m not expecting a bunch of fancy features, but it will be the first drone I’ve had.
ETA: I took it out for a very brief flight. Haven’t broken it yet so that’s a thing. Photo is pretty clear, but maybe from 40’ up if that. I was too nervous to do much more than make a small square for a flight path. I find it rather irritating to now see how out of square my beds are though.

Regardless I am interested in exploring ways to incorporate into my preps, normal dairy products having too short a shelf life

Finished all the Legos and since this great state doesn't want me to build real firearms anymore I figured I would build these. Hopefully they don't also become illegal before I get to move out of this place.

I was a little busy doing some stuff around the house but also just finished cutting those boxes from earlier open and put this nice build together for a buddy of mine. I couldn’t find the FCD forward biased dimpled bolt catch, but when I do it’ll be going on it. Currently waiting for the Emissary Development Handbrake and Cloud Defensive REIN 2.0 to come in. My buddy will be training with the build so I took the REIN 1.0 w/ Bobro mount off of my AK and also took the Magpul Handstop off of my 10.5” and threw them on this until the ordered parts come in. My buddy wasn’t completely set on purchasing an Aimpoint T-2 yet, so I went with the highest Holosun that is closest to it being the HE515GT.
So I had the idea of building this for my buddy and the M89 rail was pretty tricky to get my hands on but I made it happen. On the Rebellious Stripes receiver set with matching BCG. Essentially I wanted to build something very similar to the Chuck Pressburg edition Solgw rifle except better. With all the upgrades FCD accessories and the much nicer Criterion Core 11.5” I think I succeeded. It’ll be getting Form 1’d and a stock will be getting slapped on this baby soon enough. As soon as all the right parts come in and go on this thing, it’ll be getting the rattlecan treatment.

Inside all those boxes were a few things for myself insuring the upgraded FCD ATA’s for my T-2. Now I can adjust my windage and elevation without being required to take off the caps and risk losing those little bastards on the range lol. The new ATA’s are o-ring sealed and waterproof down to 77ft.

It must be something about being out west. Yeah, this makes 3 Colt clones. This was the one I originally wanted. 7.5" bbl with an extra .45 acp cylinder. Lock up and cylinder gap are great on this beauty. I need to get the hammer with out the safety. I love the balance of this revolver. Holding this one and then holding the 5.5" version are night and day. Also picked up some .45acp to get started and not pictured is a 10" Riobi miter saw.
