I shop the trade market on Multitool.org forums. Ive got like 15 classics now. Bought all except 1 from there. And they've all been brand new. I got a barely used LM BO Surge for $65. Thats almost 50% off. He had a Mut (which is normally $160) for $65 barely used and I just missed that.

Bid on this online for the Hessney Gun Auction on the 8th. Finally received it today. It's a Ruger New Model Single Six Convertible with 22LR & 22WMR cylinders. In excellent condition. Probably going to be my son's Christmas gift.

The next time you find out about a sale like that - PLEASE send me a PM to let me know because if they ship, I'd likely buy at least three or four different guns at 70% off. Heck, I might even drive there to buy some at those prices. Damn, I have never, as in not ever, seen a sale on guns like that! Merry Christmas (or Season's Greetings) on that one.

Tell me about it! Dealer cost was about 775, give or take. I'm outta cash because of a couple of things, but an AR for $300, Sig 938s for $200, Beretta 92s around $300, etc some great stuff for WAY below cost. Getting rid of guns pennies on the dollar to make room for new ones. Lots of over buying mistakes from the now defunct buyer...

I didn’t get it today and it’s not for me.
I did finally have a minute to mount the scope & sling on it today though.

This is my daughter’s birthday present. Her birthday is Friday and she’ll be needing a rifle for deer hunting.
I got the gun on sale & I had the scope laying around.
Savage Axis .308 Win. with a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10x40 scope.

I bought my daughter the same rifle in 7-08 .
She is 3 for 3 on deer kills with it..

Savage makes some really nice, low cost, entry-level rifles.
I hunt with a Model 111 .30-06 since 2008. I love the gun and the first deer I killed with it is the buck in my avatar.

For my daughter, I was originally thinking .243 but decided on the .308. I’m sure she’ll handle the recoil just fine and I’m already 100% tooled up to load .308. To add a .243 I would’ve had to start from scratch and get everything.
