Well I wont say what it is just yet, but I ordered it on Thursday, and should be at my FFL Monday and helpfully picked up no later than Wednesday.
Hints for anyone interested.
1) I'll be able to keep using my Gen 4 G19 slide. And be my carry gun
2) I whole heartedly expect and encourage @71velle to talk some shit and maybe call me a small hypocrite
OK, my guess is you have a G23 coming. No need for name calling since you becoming a little more open-minded.
BTW, I feel like your baiting me to give you shit about getting a 40 S&W but your intent is to get a .357 sig barrel.
Hopefully that gets fixed sooner than laterThursday UPS tracker says they delivered my part. With fresh snow there are no tracks to the front door, no truck tire tracks in the driveway. So I jump hoops with UPS till they start an investigation, email the vendor about the situation. UPS says It will probably be ten days, Vendor says, bummer dude, we got ya covered if UPS comes up with nothing. Well that's all nice and everything but in the meantime, the vendor has my money for the product, UPS has my money for the shipping, and I have nothing.

Close but no never going to short and weak. Sadly .357 sig just isnt worth the squeeze over modern 9mm cold dots or hst offerings..
Hmm maybe I need to pick up some more G17 mags
WOW, so you have a 19x or G45 coming? I have herd conflicting stories about using a gen4 slide on a gen5.
45, so I'll put it through the test and see how it runs.
Everything I've read and seen, gen 4 slide stop and gen 5 backplate and good to go.
Worse case my buddy said he has a gen 5 g19 slide and barrel he'd sell me for a damn good price (I'd just need to get it milled)
But the 45 frame will also be a major player in my G47 clone hahaha
Why buy another slide, get the original one milled. Isnt the G47 a 17 length slide?
Yes kind of, the 47 is a G45 frame with a 17 length slide, but can also take the 19 slide if wanted.
And I want to keep my G17 stock for production shooting. And I'm only getting the 45 frame instead of the full gun.
Now its starting to make sense.
Why the change of heart about the long grip with the short slide?

My wife ordered a g45 in august with her gssf coupon......she is still waiting. Looking forward to your reviewHonestly the G19 doesnt feel all that good in the hand, but my 17 feels great, also the 19 just doesnt draw that nice but the 17 does. And I have zero issue carrying or concealing a 17. It points better and feels nicer.
So figure the 45 solves my problem and I can keep my 19 milled slide. And I am already looking into both a 17 and 34 slide which would make the 45 frame a complete package based on needs of the day

that would be impossible.Probably burried in the snow by your porch.
that would be impossible.

You re homeless ? Or porchless ?
No, not at all.. I missed the part about zero tracks.. just knew it has been horrible weather here. And I've found my mail in the ditch more than once..Like I said, There were no, zip, zero, nada human tracks in the snow. So even if the UPS guy had an arm like John Elway, the aerodynamics of the parcel would preclude any possibility of anyone tossing it the over one hundred yards from the road to the porch.
Is this some how important to you?

Back when Crossman was quality. That lil mother could put .177 down range with authority!View attachment 62989
I didn't actually 'receive' it, as much as rediscovered it while reorganizing the annex to my shop. Thing is about sixty years old and still slings them out there with six pumps! Used it years ago as an inexpensive way to improve my pistolero skills on those dark winter nights when my kids and I would shoot the range I made up in the basement.
