So we all know glock does 1 thing and they do that 1 thing well (many will argue against that but sorry your bias doesnt make your arguments correct, especially when you are then carrying a "glock clone" or anything marketed as "glock killer" but I digress)

So this popped up, and honestly its very unlike glock, more times than not in the past they will not say anything about any "new" products or offerings until well they announce them, and then come the "leaked" photos.

Glock 42 XL? Along with a Glock 44 which would be the same as the 42 XL but with a longer barrel and optics cut?

It’s a joke of course but there really can’t be anything else since everything has already been done and any new innovations are really just options put out on existing guns in their line.

Perhaps it’s like you said. Something totally different like a carbine or perhaps a revolver or 1911 but that really isn’t an innovation at all.

I’m curious too and will be waiting.

I dont see them getting into the revolver or 1911 game as both would be pretty much in direct contradiction to the idea of a glock from the beginning.

Other less fun speculation would be the G46 being imported (or made local) which is the G19 but with a rotating barrel that was a contract for German police agency (iirc the agency?) But that was about 2 years ago that they announced that and if they havent brought it in by now I doubt they will and if they do i dont see this much hype over that.


And to be fair, glock isnt claiming this announcement is going to be innovative, just "legendary news"

I sadly cant see them making it NY compliant. At best it will be a G17ish type grip for the mags still making it a no go, or they have the mag outside the grip but still no go

Or a .45 Super. That would be cool. If they actually designed a gun around it that would be adequate for both bear protection and self defense with just a swap of an bullet selection.

Having a gun specifically chambered for it can make it a standard loading if people become receptive towards it.
