Except for thr SR1911, Super Redhawk, Blackhawk, and a GP100.A Carbine offering would be logical based on the popularity of the Ruger PC9. If a carbine was in the works they’d be smart to release it in 40 and 10mm as well. 10mm is something Ruger doesn’t offer.
Which one of those is a carbine?Except for thr SR1911, Super Redhawk, Blackhawk, and a GP100.
That’s a damn good guess. Something to compete with Sig Romeo (not that would be hard)You heard it here first. It will be a red dot optic and or slides that have this red dot optic integrated into it.
Whoa I misread your post. Sorry.Which one of those is a carbine?
Butt plug?Maybe they will finally fill in the stupid little hole behind the mag well.
Now that would be legendary!
You heard it here first!! Removable FCU!! Only makes sense.... That is engineering! You can put it in different chassis.
I see your line of thinking on the 365 sized gun but glock lovers seem to want all glocks and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to what people buy what glocks. I’ve heard people having 3-4 of the same glock??I see people thinking 365 competition but personally i dont see it.
Between the G43 still being relatively new (3 years?) And the 43x and 48 being very very new it would be a tough move financially to bomb 2 "new" guns that weirdly seem to be selling well and bring out another version of them essentially
That makes a lot of sense for glock going forward since they have so many pistols and calibers in their line up.You heard it here first!! Removable FCU!! Only makes sense.... That is engineering! You can put it in different chassis.
From a business standpoint wouldnt that consolidate their product line up? Why buy a 17, 19, and 26 if you can buy a removable FCU and accomplish the same thing? Glock is not like Sig which has varying products, Glock does the same thing over and over but they do it wellYou heard it here first!! Removable FCU!! Only makes sense.... That is engineering! It's just easier to do this kind of stuff. P320 Carbine Chassis - EXO ONE From FireControlUnit -http://firecontrolunit.com/From a business standpoint wouldnt that consolidate their product line up? I doubt highly that Glock has engineered a removable FCU so that their customers can use it in an aftermarket chassis system. Why not just engineer the carbine we're all hoping for? It's just easier to do this kind of stuff. P320 Carbine Chassis - EXO ONE From FireControlUnit -http://firecontrolunit.com/
exactly what iv been sayingLots of good thoughts here. I like the carbine or the red dot ideas best and see them as most likely. Glock gets the ability to grow their business in areas they currently don’t compete. The PCC craze isn’t going anywhere and Ruger getting it almost by default. Red dot let’s them sell a new product plus new optic ready slides to existing customers.
While the removable fcg is a great concept for Sig I think it could threaten Glock’s existing business model. They create variations of their existing successful models and people gobble them up at full price. While the initial purchase with removable fcg might be more profitable what is the margin on frames to swap into and will people stop buying the standard models?
I ran across a guy at the range with one of those. It was a jamomatic. It's just easier to do this kind of stuff. P320 Carbine Chassis - EXO ONE From FireControlUnit -http://firecontrolunit.com/
I think there is a good market for a basically Sub 2000 that doesn't suck.Ok let's see if I can make any sense and point out my line of thinking why it deff 100% won't be an optic of any type. Then address why it wont be a serialized FCG..
First the easier of the two.. the optic.. well glock isnt an electronic company, and they wont put that much capital into starting from scratch to get into an already overly saturated market that already has companies holding a gold standard... they are a handgun (firearms) company and it would be a complete failure and loss of money to try and make a red dot, because that red dot would either have to be super cheap and complete garbage (say like sig romeo one, which let's be honest Sig isnt even making these they are just rebranded chinese optics) or it would have to be extremely expensive and no track record so who's going to trust it.
Case in point, if I mention to you right now Weapons mounted ligths.. even those of you who dont have one or even like them have probably heard of the following companies..
Surefire, streamlight, Inforce, and yes even that crap O-light.. but I doubt anyone thinks Glock???
Well they made one (well 1 light only, and 2 different models with a laser) View attachment 58090
Ok next the removable fire control group... it's a party trick at best.. guess what glock already has a removable fire control group, no it's not the serialized part, but to be completely honest in a free state that makes it even more of a party trick and usless..
But what about here in NY where some counties you have to be very very specific on what your permit amendment says? Oh you got the 9mm and that's what your permit says but you want to turn it into a sub compact .357sig? Well after buying the chassis (inexpensive) then spending almost the cost of a new gun on barrel and slide, then what?
Even if we take out the what a permit says part.. so you have a full size 9mm, but you also want a sub compact 9mm, hey cool I just need to buy everything but the FCG. And how much does that actually come to in the end? Like substantial saving? Or just a bit less than buying a new gun an actually having 2 usable guns vs 1 gun and a bunch of random parts..
I'm going back to the most likely option being a PCC that is taking glock mags (obviously)
With the date and time part all being 10's I would venture to say the first offering may just from left field be in 10mm instead of the more common offerings of 9mm..
Think about it, PCC market is hot right now, but it's also pretty crowded, most PCC are in 9mm, off the top of my head I can think of what maybe 2 or 3 that are offered in 10mm (hi-point being one of those)
10mm carbine would be a slam dunk. Would fill multiple roles, could be a good truck gun (and if they make a "pistol" version a backpack gun) would also be a good HD option, hell it could even be used for hunting all in the same package.. along with 10mm making its comeback and being more readily available and cost going down.
So my top pick is still PCC but my wild card guess is PCC in 10mm
I think there is a good market for a basically Sub 2000 that doesn't suck.
Word on the street is that it’s just a single stack compact 10mm based on the guy in the picture being an outdoorsman and it being released at 10am on the 10th.
