Sure, 3% can't win the war, but it takes a lot less to start one. Then the 97% will be forced to choose sides. You can bet that all 97% won't side with the oppressors.

The initial goal of an insurgency should be to force the government to crack down on the population in general driving more people into the arms of the insurgents.

There may only be a handful of people willing to risk their life and livelihood over this. But if they start shit, and the government starts cracking down they will cross a lot more people's red lines.

Martial law would force a lot more people to decide the government has outgrown it's proper role.

You might want to get out of NY a little more. I have in laws in WV and will tell you that people there don't screw around when it comes to this. Other States their firearms are like part of their own family, not to be messed with. I am currently on a group text line with a bunch of my Marine buddies across multiple States and they have been spreading the word and are very aware of the B.S. It shall be interesting the turnout for any rally in VA pertaining to this. Surprised the "Deep State" selected VA to start this B.S. When you go off the deep end and mention how you will use the National Guard to enforce your B.S then the Country will be watching so closely....

I was just in WV over Christmas break while traveling home from SC.

I stopped in at a few local stores near my hotel. One of which was a sportsman's Warehouse. I observed what appeared to be a younger husband and wife arguing/debating what gun to get their daughter (who appeared to be 7-8) as her first gun. The mom wanted a BB gun, dad wanted a .22.

Yes. These people are not giving up their guns. No chance.

By the time it gets there RBG will be in hell, and hopefully Trump will have been able to appoint a conservative, 2ndA loving patriot on the bench. Unionize the states .....may we all be free. I can hope anyway.

Do you really believe that a full fledged war in Virginia composed of the majority being grey bearded gun owners firing the first shots, will be out there waging war on whatever cops are out there enforcing the law in the very beginning? And once they fire those shots, they will leave their families and go dark to hide in the woods to make plans for the next series of attacks.

Really think about it. Groups of about 4 to 5 men ambushing cops to kill them and then running away? Break it down piece by piece down to the planning stages up to the execution and then the aftermath of the attack and then tell me that it has a very high chance of happening or continuing to happen.

Then afterwards when services are cut off, the welfare recipients and the yuppie faggot that works for IBM that’s afraid of his own shadow will join these grey beards holding hands with the sole mission in killing cops. I was trying to vaguely beat around the bush what you detailed. I think there are people out there who feel current policies, laws and circumstances are crossing a once forbidden moral threshold. Once that "red line" is crossed there are people who will feel they are justified to take what actions they think are in accordance with their beliefs of what is best for this country. What % of the country or state of Virginia feels that way, I'm not sure. It might be .0001% or it might be 5%. I don't know. But what I know is that there are people bout there who feel pushed and pushed and pushed and once that final push is just a little too far and it goes over the line, they are going to punch the bully back.

I've heard similar, though I'm a bit hazy on what border areas are meant? State borders are pretty far from Richmond in every direction. Can't really see them roadblocking the major interstates either. Perhaps trying to spread false information as a deterrent? I could see increased attention being placed on travelers with out of state plates, though.
