Are you kidding me? You think that the 97 percent that now cannot go to work due to war because the gas stations are empty and have to do without electricity and phone service are going to side with terrorists like the TV calls them because they are fighting for a pistol grip?It doesn't end with 3%. It starts with them.
Sure, 3% can't win the war, but it takes a lot less to start one. Then the 97% will be forced to choose sides. You can bet that all 97% won't side with the oppressors.
The initial goal of an insurgency should be to force the government to crack down on the population in general driving more people into the arms of the insurgents.
There may only be a handful of people willing to risk their life and livelihood over this. But if they start shit, and the government starts cracking down they will cross a lot more people's red lines.
Martial law would force a lot more people to decide the government has outgrown it's proper role.
They would beg for the government to put and end to it so that their yearly upcoming vacation to Disney World isn’t halted.
The only way the other 97 percent would band together is if the government stopped their gravy train on their own.
