That's mostly true. I was Military Police, US Army. In my briefcase was a copy of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (for service members-any branch, on or off post), a copy of NYS Motor Vehicle and Traffic Law (for civilians on post), a copy of the NYS Penal Law (for civilians on post). Plus, two different traffic violation ticket books, one for civilians on post, one for service members on post. Military offenses are usually decided by your commanding officer, and others depending on severity. Civilians usually held and released to civilian authorities for disposition. On the other hand, as a US citizen, I was given every reasonable opportunity to vote.Constitutional protections dont apply to you in the US Military. Different code of Justice and different Court system.
At least that what current and former military personnel I know and work with have always told me.
Why do we keep forgetting about this? FL School Gunman Should Have Been a Prohibited Person We wouldn't need ANY more laws if the ones already in place were followed although I'm all for arming teachers.
CRUZ would have been stopped by any of these three:
21 Year Old Purchase Age
Darth, I don't think people got conned or are going to make excuses for him. Even after what he's said off the cuff now, I and many would still vote for him compared to Hillary.
Big difference between obtaining the tools of the trade illegally and going to the local gun shop and buying them over the counter.Yeah, age limits work so well with cigarettes and booze, right?
That didn't stop Newtown or Columbine. People dedicated to doing bad things aren't going to be deterred by an age limit. They'll steal guns from a family member or buy them with no background check.
There is no reversing btw.
Part of the problem. There is no way that charging him with 3rd degree felony wouldn't have been pled down into a misdemeanor.
Big difference between obtaining the tools of the trade illegally and going to the local gun shop and buying them over the counter.
....but I am certain you already know that.
Excellent, could you prove that for the class?Funny. I remember some dude named Darthgamer on another forum who reversed his stance on gun laws as he got older. If I remember correctly, when he was younger, he had no issues with the permitting process and complied with the 1sr AWB.
If that dude ever runs for office, don't vote for him. He's full of shit. There's no reversing.
Excuse me, wimmin are perfectly legit in changing their minds.Funny. I remember some dude named Darthgamer on another forum who reversed his stance on gun laws as he got older. If I remember correctly, when he was younger, he had no issues with the permitting process and complied with the 1st AWB.
If that dude ever runs for office, don't vote for him. He's full of shit. There's no reversing.
It still matters to a point for popular vote numbers and graphs and maps for everyone to see where the rest of the state stands. You live in NY. It doesn't matter who you vote for. The Democrat is going to take the state's electoral votes. Every single person that voted for any third party could have voted for Trump and he still would have lost NY by 20 points.
They just seem to not care.I wonder how many folks who are somewhat giddy with the thought of raising the age limit to appease so our rights won't "get worse" would say the same thing if they were under the age of 21? How is that difference than a hunter who doesn't own an AR not caring about laws to ban AR's because it doesn't affect them?
So you'd rather have Clinton!?!?!?!?HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!?!?!?!?This where I am getting off the Trump Train, his stupidity and jackboot tendencies are too much for me to handle any longer.
Go back and re quote me. I cleaned it up a bit. They just seem to not care.
They've got theirs.
It still matters to a point for popular vote numbers and graphs and maps for everyone to see where the rest of the state stands.
Now I have a feeling it's going to shift back to "but...No chance!"The Libertarian vote is sending more of a message to show where people stand than a vote for Trump ever could have.
Hmmm. I don't know about that. I doubt they care as evidenced by Paul Ryan's blocking of everything. The Libertarian vote is sending more of a message to show where people stand than a vote for Trump ever could have.
That's correct.Now I have a feeling it's going to shift back to "but...No chance!"
100%, I doubt much is going to come out of any of this at the end of the day, and many trump haters are laughing at gun owners and taunting us about our choice to vote for him. really, what choice did we have? hitlery or trump, thats a no brainer, we had to take a chance on him. he campaigned on supporting the 2a, national reciprocity, the wall, and Americans first. we have to hold him to it.Hey, We had to throw dice with the the guy, Hillary was a guaranteed ban. no question about it. Trump was a total crap shoot. Still is. I think he may back peddle on it as usual . He talks before he thinks .
The law states you cannot deprive a person of their rights or property without due process . So passing something like this is going to be pretty hard.
Come on guys, I'm sure it's just it out context. No possible way he could not be the 2A messiah or anything.
Yes, yes they did.did anyone actually ever say he was our 2a messiah? or was it an obvious choice when left with either hitlery or him? there is nothing wrong with hoping he was going to pass pro2a legislation as we knew hitlery wouldnt do anything but gut the 2a. of course its disappointing to hear him talk this way, and i dont support it at all. i hope he is only trying to set up the leftists in a trap of some sort, but i don't agree with how he is going about it.
in fairness, no one called him their messiah, but I get your point. i remember the discussions before the election too, and we all were hopeful that we would get suppressors and reciprocity considering we would have a "republican" president and congress. there is nothing wrong with being hopeful, especially when faced with the alternative of hitlery.Yes, yes they did.
Many flat out said on here before the election that they were a 1 issue voter.
Add to that this notion that we'd get supressors and reciprocity?
Yes, people actually said that about him.
Of course there's a big difference. I still contend that it won't stop someone intent on shooting up a school though. If they're willing to gun down innocent children, they're willing to go steal a gun from Uncle Bill or go down to the crack dealer on the corner and buy one out of the trunk of a car.
Lies? You said it in one of the numerous threads we've argued on where you claimed to never comply with laws and I said that you did in the past by getting your permit and following the previous AWB.Excellent, could you prove that for the class?
I'd hate to think you just made that up.
And considering he seems to have 15 or so videos bitching about that very permitting process, I really can't wait for this one.
Making up lies doesn't bolster your position Will.
Berating those not wanting to get on the Trump train before the election was childish.in fairness, no one called him their messiah, but I get your point. i remember the discussions before the election too, and we all were hopeful that we would get suppressors and reciprocity considering we would have a "republican" president and congress. there is nothing wrong with being hopeful, especially when faced with the alternative of hitlery.
even if someone is a 1 issue voter (which i see nothing wrong with if thats what they feel), we had trump saying he would strengthen the 2a and hitlery who would further restrict it, we simply had to vote for Trump and take our chances.
Now, if any of this crap ends up passing with Trumps support, and a gun owner says in good conscience that its a good thing or they support his decision, then they are not a true 2a supporter.
frankly, all the "i told you so" about Trump and this latest nonsense is childish (imo) because gun owners didnt really have a choice.
why should we accept any FUTHER infringements. we, as 2a supporters have never had anything extra given to us. every time there is a so called compromise its US giving up MORE of our rights.Nothing.....
Hes doing what he was elected to do which was bridge the divide between the 2 parties .
Adults realize that in life you NEVER get 100 percent of what you want. Its ALWAYS a compromise.
What he said yestetdsy was the starting point NOT what we will end up with....guaranteed .
As long as we dont see firearms and magazine capacity bans Nationally....consider this a victory.
Worry 110 percent more about Cuomo than Trump.
