People are arrested every day without a warrant.
You catch a guy breaking into a house, you do not wait for a warrant before arresting him.
They shouldn't be taking any guns away from anyone they aren't arresting though, it's just pointless. They can pick another one up inside of an hour.
The way the real world works is the cop shows up at the scene, makes the determination that either a crime was committed or a mental health detention is warranted and the person or persons are taken into custody.
I know this ....because Ive done this.
If the arrestee is a danger to themselves or others and is in.possession of firearms, they get taken subsequent to them being arrested .
Due Process is OBVIOUSLY attached.
Once the case is adjudicated, depending upon the outcome, you either get them back or you dont.
Notice I said all this happens subject to arrest NOT due to a bullshit snitch hotline used by your Doctor or false statements make by your soon to be ex wife/girlfriend .
If THIS bluebrint was followed in Parkland, 17 kids would still be alive and we wouldnt be getting blamed for something we didnt do.

The long and short of it is either Trump wants things to stay as they are, and flat out lied in this statement about wanting change (doubt it), or he knows what the current process is and wants more violations.
Who in the world would possibly think that Trump said this because he wants things to stay as they currently "work in the real world."

Darth, I don't think people got conned or are going to make excuses for him. Even after what he's said off the cuff now, I and many would still vote for him compared to Hillary.
Whether you like it or not, it becomes the choice of the lesser of 2 evils. If you didn't vote for him, Hillary would have signed something worse by now or executive ordered something worse by now.
If any other candidate besides Trump would have won the primaries, we'd have gun control now for a fact because Hillary would have been president.

Agreed. I always said it was like choosing between gonorrhea or syphilis. Since being president though he has done more things that have pleasantly surprised me at this point. His recent comments have pissed me off though very much. In saying this, I don't even want to think what we would be talking about now if Hillary had one.

I base my point about Hillary on her comments and actions over the years. You may disagree but that was good enough for me.

I was putting my chips on the future supreme court as I said that was the most important part of the election. I also didn't want open borders or socialism. So, I chose Trump when those were the only two left. I would have written myself in but I didn't think I had any chance of winning.
