I agree. I was incorrect. No freedom should be zero days and zero "licenses". Anything else is anti 2A, infringements

Captain Lou Albano!
Thanks! I'm honestly a little surprised (although I probably shouldn't be) that it's taking this long to even get past the calling-of-references stage. Today is day 225 for me and still no phone calls. From what I've read, it's not unusual for it to take several months after your references are called to actually receive your permit. At this point I'm looking at summer at the earliest, but I'm not holding my breath.Welcome to the unfortunate party! I too am a suburban applicant. Please feel free to utilize this thread to post updates on the progression of your permit or lack thereof. I look forward to hearing how your situation compares to my own. Pulling for you brother.
Additionally, if you have read all the above posts, I can share that not shaving or getting a haircut since dropping off my application will leave you looking disheveled, all the while knowing you still have a long way to go.
Beard and hair at least 3 inches long now, if not longer....
Now you are in the "waiting on a judge" stage. I've heard all kinds of stories about judges that just let the approved permits just pile up for weeks or months. The anti-gun judges have no problems letting them gather dust. Arrogant pricks. Thanks! I may be misunderstanding, but I don't believe they have even contacted his references yet.Now you are in the "waiting on a judge" stage. If only we could be so fortunate. To add some salt to the wound, today someone shared their Monroe County pistol permit timeline on the NYGuns subreddit:
- Application turned in @ Clerks office & Fingerprinted @ Sheriffs Office on November 12, 2021
- References called February 25th, 2022 (Pushed along by Sheriff buddy)
- Letter of approval from Judge March 19, 2022
- Permit received in the mail March 30, 2022
I remember you mentioning that before. Ren and I wish we could be as fortunate. MC Clerk claiming nearer to 16 months now.My daughter got hers in under 6 months. No help from anyone.
Her husband at that time got denied. Dumbass used his therapist as a reference
If that timeline is accurate I would say it reflects favorable treatment from both a sheriff and a judge. It also speaks to the injustice of the current system given the disparity between this example and Jchrisis. To add some salt to the wound, today someone shared their Monroe County pistol permit timeline on the NYGuns subreddit:

That's exactly what it shows. The person that posted that timeline tried to edit his post to remove the fact that he had his "sheriff buddy" push his application ahead in the queue, so I called him out on it because I didn't want other people thinking that his timeline was a realistic timeline for the average person applying in Monroe County. I don't think he liked that because he then proceeded to block meIf that timeline is accurate I would say it reflects favorable treatment from both a sheriff and a judge. Great news!! Hopefully the rest of the process goes quickly.Big news today! @ 197 days, my wife, references and I were interviewed Via phone regarding my permit. WOOHOO! Phone interviews went well. Per the interviewer, it now travels to the captain and another deputy for review. Thereafter it will be forwarded to a judge for final disposition, where then its sent to the clerk. Per the deputy, this process can take a few more months. Fingers crossed, we are moving along!
PS- the deputy mentioned that at this time they are beginning to get caught up on applications. Good news.
They stated they are catching up so hopefully your coming up soonNice! My application must be in the slow lane.
Your post must have sent me some good luck because my references and I were called this morning haha. They must have had a big 'ole stack of applications sitting there that they're now going through. Now we hurry up and wait a little bit more...They stated they are catching up so hopefully your coming up soon
