The LTT is an awesome pistol for sure. I like the black G10 grips they have.

I am still sans a .22 pistol.Now I am thinking of getting a Volquartsen pimped S&W Victory for my .22 pistol.

I was . . . underwhelmed . . . with their appearance. Thin as can be, but very . . . plain. Hugely comfortable but meh. First thing I did when I got home was get on Amazon and order a pair of two tone grey/black that looks great with the SS barrel and trigger.
But hey, to each their own!

Not so much, although thats a really nice gun.
I never used to be either, more of a P226 fan. But lately I have had the urge to revisit the design like I have Glocks. And these new factory custom models really appeal to me. Especially since they get rid of my biggest complaint of the gun, the safety. The decocker only versions eliminate any potential safety foibles.
I am reading through the topics, came across this thread and had the thought: Which Gun Should I Build Next?
I built a single stack 1911 in 45 last month. A double stack 1911 in 40/10 this month. Next project I have the parts for is a single stack 1911 in 9mm. After that I am not sure what I want to build next. I have a goal to fill up one side of a license card with my name on it as the manufacturer. There are 15 slots per side so I have to build 15 more pistols.
Probably at least 4 more double stack 1911 pistols, at least 4 more single stack 1911s, maybe an officers model 1911 too but, other than that I am stuck.

I have the 686 just in a 6 inch barrel. I like the gun a lot. Obviously, I'm not using it for concealed carry but it's a nice gun that I have mostly as a sort of SHTF gun/bear defense if I'm going hiking on my family's property. FWIW...I don't think you could go wrong with any of the models you've selected as options.

Cz, it's not a safe queen you can carry it which makes it a useful tool its also not gonna be a slouch at the range . its a nice looking pistol too.
Honest opinion, how difficult is it to build your own 1911? It’s a project I’d love to take on but understand they can be finicky to fit properly.

None of those guns are safe queens though, that's one of the criteria of my list. Not a single one of those guns that wouldn't see nightstand duty in my home. Or open carry duty if I were so inclined. Which I seldom am.

But I already have the 19 and the Shield for that so it's not a major consideration for me. Actually being a non CCW might be preferred at this point. All I have are concealable plastic guns. I want a big honkin' metal gun for a change! But I like shooting the 19 a lot and I shoot it well(kinda) so the 34 is still a consideration for me. My love of Glocks continues to grow at a pace that shocks even me. Used to dislike them heartily.

Yes but no. Make sense? Translation: I like that WC 92 more than any other duty size metal gun on the market. I look at something like the Tactical Sport Orange and I think it's really awesome but then I reflect on how I totally can't make use of all that, same for the old SIG X5/6 guns. That WC 92 though, it's a sexed up duty gun at heart, wouldn't be out of place on your hip or at a class. That appeals to me. The Shadow I can't get down with because of its "Safety on a DA/SA" syndrome.
What about something along the lines of the SP-01 Tactical its decocker only

Oh for shits and giggles if you are open to a .45acp there is the CZ 97 (there is a decocker only version I believe)

Yea I saw in the yankee Marshall they are able to shove 18 in a flush fit mag but yet the military only used the stupid 15 rounders.. that was my biggest issue is who fat that grip is and all you get is 15 rounds
I was actually able to handle a WC 92. The slim G10 grips go a long way to making the characteristically fat 92 grip more manageable.
With the Vertec grip frame even more so I would imagine. But yes, 15 rounds for such a large pistol is rather scant. MecGar makes 18 rounders for the P226 too. I bought some for my Legion when I had it.
Next project is a 9mm government model, a 9mm commanders model could be an option since I would not have to buy anymore magazines.
It would cost more. And take longer.
What a lot of people don't realize are that the WC and LTT factory custom 92s are actually made by Beretta in Beretta facilities to the respective specs that WC or LTT provides.
So my buddy has an LTT and ok yea the 92s look real good
if you have a mechanical aptitude it isn’t that difficult. There are a couple 1911 shop manuals you can get and some good on line tutorials by mosinvirus you can watch to get a good understanding of the difficulty of building a 1911 correctly. It will cost you more in tools than it would to buy a really nice 1911 though.
