Yes but no. Make sense? Translation: I like that WC 92 more than any other duty size metal gun on the market. I look at something like the Tactical Sport Orange and I think it's really awesome but then I reflect on how I totally can't make use of all that, same for the old SIG X5/6 guns. That WC 92 though, it's a sexed up duty gun at heart, wouldn't be out of place on your hip or at a class. That appeals to me. The Shadow I can't get down with because of its "Safety on a DA/SA" syndrome.

I dunno. I just like these new factory custom 92s.


Actually, I have a confession to make; I never saw the original Lethal Weapon until a few months ago. Now I really wanna Beretta!

If it's a full-sized duty/night-stand pistol you're looking for, get the 92. It's a solid design and it's a smooth shooter, both in terms of trigger pull and actual recoil impulse. The Walther-derived action (which is different from the browning-style actions used on most DA/SA pistols) is really just a different sort of shooting experience.

DA/SA safety is a non-issue: either train to it or get the G-modification done.

Other than the different sights and grips, there isn't much that is really "new" about these semi-custom 92's from Wilson Combat and Langdon. Same basic design using some fundamental upgrades (brigadier slide, updated locking blocks and slides) that Beretta has already offered for some time...I have nothing against these semi-custom variants, but keep in mind that you can get a new 92a1 or M9a1 for pretty much half the price. Your money, your choice, but I personally don't see much benefit with the more expensive variants until you've put a significant amount of time behind the gun.

The beauty of a basic Beretta is that you don't need to do much, if anything at all, to it...maybe replace the hammer spring with the factory D-spring option...that's about it.
