Whose going to regulate firearms when shtf?

I have a feeling that when shtf we're going to see a lot of firearms we have not so commonly seen before. What sort of forbidden goodies would you be looking to acquire after shtf?

Fully automatic AR with everything including a bayonet! That'll just be my little treat to keep me going through the scenario, would only plan to use it if the zombie horde was surrounding. Sawed off shotgun for concealment and crowd clearing ability. Maybe an SBR for the vehicle? A BMG for making things disappear from a distance?

if we didnt have to worry about the laws id be looking for an sbr, probably with a 11.5" barrel, tons of 30rnd mags, plenty of full cap mags for my glocks, short barreled shotgun, and thats about it really. then i would spend a lot of time gathering and storing up ammo.

Nah. Rounds are too expensive and I can't seem to get more than one in my pants pocket for a quick reload.

Any semi auto 223-308 with lots of magazines.
No full auto, waste to much ammo while not gaining that much defensive capabilities.

Ironically, I believe you can have artillery on a NYS pistol permit, at least in theory....

Looked into getting a 20mm Lahti once and at the time that was how you would have had to do it (to remain legal)

You will need a crew for that. I know how to drive one, sorta......... well I drove one a couple times.......... 12 years ago. You get yourself an M270 MLRS launcher though and I'm def. Your guy.

You can definitely mount a lot of guns on that rover.

Small machine pistols, two of them. Maybe some micro Uzi's with their folding stocks or Cobray M11A1's with the wire stocks. I'd make a nice belt fitting the double in one holsters with extended magazines wrapping around the waist band. An ar SBR in 30 cal to throw over the back as a primary or in a backpack with the ammo and full capacity mags. Gear will be just as important. I would have a carrier fitting a compact handgun as well on the chest area with a med kit and fixed blade. I would also carry a lightweight wakizashi sword for ease of control, speed, reach, and carry ability. The gear list would continue on and on with other weapons and items that wouldn't take up too much weight... All tactical gear will be jet black, it will allow stealthier movement through urban wooded areas at night for relocation and sighting at higher elevations to see what the hell is going on in the community. Probably at least 60-70 lbs of gear carried at one single time.
