Come September 1, will gun ranges be posting the signs?
The whole idea seems comical.
Let's hope the judicial system makes this moot.

QFT!Hochul is such a stupid cunt.
Yes. It’s private property. I’m wondering if I’ll need written permission from my parents , friends, and other family members.Come September 1, will gun ranges be posting the signs?

Just the ones who think breathing should be a felony so they can arrest anyone who pisses them off and just ignore everyone else. The more important question is, how many law enforcers are excited to actually start cracking down on enforcing these unconstitutional laws on the 1st? Will they be keeping a closer eye on who's committing a total bullshit of a new felony offense that the state never had an issue with prior?
The law is written either my madmen or to purposely be impossible to comply with. Or both.As usual they just have me confused as shit. When the original bill was posted it included private businesses as restricted unless posted. The recent posting of the DCJS document doesn't include private businesses as being sensitive places. Can we or can't we? Maybe better put is can we or can't we, legally?
A better question is how many Karens and "citizen police" will start making it their missing to assure all are in compliance. The more important question is, how many law enforcers are excited to actually start cracking down on enforcing these unconstitutional laws on the 1st? Will they be keeping a closer eye on who's committing a total bullshit of a new felony offense that the state never had an issue with prior?
Will we start to see more stores with technology and equipment that can potentially spot concealed firearms easier and kept on the hush hush? Will police/security and certain employees be looking out for printing now more than ever to nail the guy at the grocery store picking up some milk and eggs?
How far will the law enforcers be willing to go to destroy a New Yorker's life that just wants the ability to continue having some form of self defense protection for themselves and family?
Will the police ignore this unconstitutional bullshit and follow the oath they took? Or will they do what they're told by queen Whorechul because it pays the bills?
I work armed security in a government building. The jurisdiction I work in never passed a local law prohibiting carry in the buildings. (It's NOT a courthouse.) Not carrying in the building is a courtesy the public extends to us, and I never forget that. So far, I have never had a situation in which there was anyone carrying. However... I refuse to give a rat's ass (or a Hokul's face) about weapons which are backed up by a carry license. The judge gave out that license and he is the final word. Far be it from me to over rule the judge. Will police/security and certain employees be looking out for printing now...
That sounds like it would be considered brandishingTechnically, the DEC has you covered because you are practicing marksmanship for hunting.
In reality, we have entered a state of being in which the philosophy of Reductio ad absurdum reigns supreme.
Reducto ad absurdum is the form of argument that attempts to establish a claim by showing that the opposite scenario would lead to absurdity or contradiction.
On other words; I am really going to open the trunk of my sedan in the parking lot (or at a nearby neutral area), unholster my sidearm, place my handgun in a safe in the trunk, and close the trunk, all within view of dozens of shoppers. All to avoid creating a stir within the store, where my sidearm would be carried under several layers of shirts, completely out of view for the entire visit (and as I have been doing for decades without incident.)
I am not going to take this to absurd levels. No one in their right mind would want us to. Problem is, the government in Albany is not in their right mind. They have proven it over and over during the past months.
The law is written either my madmen or to purposely be impossible to comply with. Or both.
If I had to enter a store while doing a handstand, for instance, I would just walk in as normal. If I am stopped, my defense is that it is just physically impossible for me to do handstands. I have no other choice.
You left out the part about unloading the gun, then locking it in a fire resistant and tamper proof vault which is securely tethered to the vehicle. Don't forget to lock up your loose ammo somewhere else before you go in the store for a gallon of milk.Technically, the DEC has you covered because you are practicing marksmanship for hunting.

Bingo!its unconstitutional .. the Govt can't compel you to speak .. posting a sign is speech ..
crap i can't remember who did a video on that ..

Of course, now you should keep a good cooler in your car too, because you're going to want to put the ice cream in the cooler so it doesn't melt while you unlock your gun, load the mag, load the gun, chamber a round, and holster it right there in the parking lot. Then again, maybe not - the parking lot is still private property, and you would still be breaking the law. You better pull out onto the street before doing that.
nowhere does it say that when a firearm is left in a vehicle that it must be tethered to the vehice, just inside a case.
So its ok to leave you pistol with someone that does not have a permit as long as they are an adult? What if they are are a otherwise prohibited person? Is that OK? I swear, they just spout stupidity on top of stupidity. If an adult remains with the vehicle to ensure security, a case or safe is not required.
No argument here!! This is also a good one...So its ok to leave you pistol with someone that does not have a permit as long as they are an adult? What if they are are a otherwise prohibited person? Is that OK? I swear, they just spout stupidity on top of stupidity.
But steel is not ok apparentlyNo argument here!! This is also a good one...
it must be locked in a fire, impact, and tamper resistant storage container and hidden from view. Any plastic or aluminum, lockable, hard-sided, gun case or safe will suffice for this purpose.
A fire, impact, and tamper resistant can be plastic..
No they will not ignore.. The DA will gleefully convict you and send you to a year + in prison. They have emptied out the prisons for a reason. Democrats say we are terrorists ... Total disarmament is the goal. They are trying to make everything one does a FelonyThe more important question is, how many law enforcers are excited to actually start cracking down on enforcing these unconstitutional laws on the 1st?
