You ~ assembled ~ your AR. Unless you started with parts rawer than the various retail versions, there was nothing made, cut, or fitted. Some people can even mess this up but with care, the vast majority can complete a successful working rifle in 30 to 90 minutes.
Dropping a spring or detent might stall the process but still it's not like cutting dovetails or freehand engraving.
It doesn't make you a gunsmith or a craftsperson. So maybe be honest and don't claim stolen valor from the legit gunsmiths?
