That's what I was reading was to reduce but couldn't find what to fo down to. Some say 1.25 others, like yourself, say even shorter. There's really not much in the way of data for 200 grain lrn that I have found. Thanks for the insight.

So I picked up some 45acp cast coated RN and go to my books for load data but not getting much other than for lswc. For the powder that's fine The part that gets me is the oal. Would utilizing any oal for 200 grain rn suffice?

It's my normal FFL and have a very good relationship with them and don't believe there would be any hidden fees just the transfer fee. They are awesome. Six firearms have gone through them for me in the last year.

Ok so trying to understand how this works. If I wanted to sell a pistol to a friend do we just both have to go to the FFL for the transfer with the pistol and do the paperwork?

I agree completely. Mine gets from a distributor who has their markup so the LGS has to make their money as well. As much as I would like to go there for everything I just can't. This purchase alone would have been `$250 more!

Actually you can have the restrictions removed in Clinton. I have had my permit for about 6 months now and had my restrictions removed after taking safety course. There is now a course that is required before issuance for permit. This, as I am understanding, also gives the new permits issued...

Well gas block should be here Wed or Thursday. I will definitely look into the adjustable gas key.

That's what I am leaning towards is an adjustable gas block.

Everything I have read, the port size is within the range for that gas length.

I am really leaning on gas block. Going to order another one as well as another tube just to be on the safe side. I don't want to keep tearing up brass. I have only put 10 rds total through it trying to narrow down issues.
