You should be good to go, since that's even more info to provide than you'd get by doing it locally. I think what I have bolded is the key. Only downside is if doesn't make it to the destination (loss, theft, etc). Then you're in limbo.

So, having just done this TODAY.... I went through a local FFL, and it cost me a grand total of $45 to get the gun off my permit and ship it out of state to the FFL of the guy that bought it. Totally worth it to know I don't have to worry about it blowing back on me.
