I have heard that the issuing officer asks you before giving out an application. Then he decides if that reason is good enough.
I have said before that I'm always on my way to or from the range or a hike or camping or the lgs.
I also bought a 3.0 but hate it. Too large a rig, screws keep falling out. I went with a N8 squared tactical. Very nice unit.
Entire gun is covered so it doesn't touch skin.
I don't off hand, remember what the twist is on that. 1:9 I think. Too lazy to go get it and see.
The Federal .223 ammo I'm putting 6 rds. inside a quarter at 50 yds. I don't know if that is
good or just acceptable.
I bought a Beretta 92a1. More for collecting than anything else. It's too big for me and I have had to modify my grip for that gun. I also have a Ruger SR9c that I shoot pretty well. Lighter gun..less recoil than the Beretta.
Interesting. I know for a fact that 10yrs. ago Syracuse University was giving $1000 for a cadaver. I am interested
in pricing. I heard something about plasma going for an outrageous price. Oh, and Syracuse University charged
$1000 for transport.
Do you guys shop for your defensive ammo or just buy as the need arises? I have a home range so
I tend to shoot whenever the mood hits. Translates to allot of shooting.
I look at all the "defensive" ammo but most are too expensive for practice. At least for me. I use
the cheap winchester range packs (200) rds. But I do have some 9mm nato rds.
I agree with glenb in that you should practice with the same rds. you intend on using for edc.
I don't recall a law on the books about drinking and shooting at a private club or residence. There is open container law on public property and I believe there is now on the books some sort of law concerning assault type rifles.
