It took me a while to pull the trigger on gunbroker. I didn't like the idea of mailing a money order to a trading post in Idaho for an old S&w 66. But, 3 days later, I had shipping confirmation to my ffl and the people were awesome. As long as you have a good rapport with an ffl at home, it is a...
Hoppes #9 solvent, whatever gun oil brand I found last at the lgs, and G96 CLP on exteriors that need a little more rust protection. And if a something is really fouled up, Marvel Mystery Oil is awesome for hard buildup
He was pushed during the election cycle as a pro 2A judge. Time will tell. As far as the application process, as long as you had proof of a safe and a live fire course, you were good to go. Had a family member go through it 2 years ago with a non 2A friendly judge in Putnam and it went through...
I came across this a while back. While it may not be overly scientific, it definitely made the case against high volumes of bimetal ammo through your guns
Brass vs. Steel Cased Ammo - An Epic Torture Test
I got a Seecamp 380 years back. 15 months from time of order til I had it. And I paid a bit more than what they sell for now. It's usually what I throw in pocket when I have to go somewhere in a suit. I cringe whenever I shoot it because it sucks to shoot. They are great little guns that fill a...
I had one for a while. Great conversation piece wherever I went with it. Ammo availability and pricing kinda sucked. With 45LC or 410 slugs, it was as accurate as it needed to be. Shot shells were another story. Recoil was nothing with the rubber grips. It was a fun toy and everyone will want to...
I am a member at Putnam County Fish and Game in Carmel. The initial price is I think $450. There is rifle, pistol, trap, indoor air rifle, and archery. Also numerous different events throughout the year and family picnics/bbqs. Well worth the membership price if you utilize all of the facilities.
It will buy ammo, I just wouldn't quite say it will be a lot of anything starting with the number 44. Sweet gun I must say though. Talked myself out of one more than once
Does every Sheriff's Office issue the permits? Or are there certain ones to go to who don't break balls about non residents? Been looking into this for a while and want it to be as smooth as possible. Thanks
I have an older pinned barrel model 60 in 38. Shoots as well as you can you shoot it, which takes some dedicated practice. Trigger pull leaves a lot to be desired. Would take a 2 inch k-frame any day of the week over the j. It became a safe queen after picking up a 357 LCR. As for the cylinder...
I have an older gp100 that I had an issue with the trigger resetting. Took it apart, figured out the parts I needed, called Ruger CS and ordered them. I then looked at the phone dumbfounded when they told me there was no charge for the parts. Best customer service I have ever dealt with
Charter Arms makes a 9mm, 40, and 45 acp revolver called the pitbull. No moon clips required. I looked into these years ago, but Charter has been plagued with quality issues for years and that ended my interest
I tinkered around with a Ghost Edge trigger kit for a while. Connector, trigger spring, firing pin spring, and a reduced power safety plunger spring. Makes for a very light and smooth trigger in the Glock. And it was only around 35 dollars shipped
I read this review and it prompted me to take a class with Onsight last fall. Ben did a great job presenting information about close quarter defensive shooting. Even on your first class they treat you like family. These guys do it right. I hope to get back with them a couple of times this year
