There's a company that makes a kit to modify the mags of the 1.0 to hold a couple extra rounds. I think you can get 10 in the 8 round mag with it.

Check out a Marlin 795 before you pay the inflated price tag that the 10/22 has been bringing. I have two of them and have no issues with them. Paid less that $150 each at a time when the 10/22 was going for well over $200.
